Yesterday, June 16, i played in a tournement at Chris's Collectibles again. There were about 20 people there. I used my new and improved "Poisoning of the Mind" deck. I will give the tourny report and strategy after the deck. And without further ado. I present "Poisoning of the Mind"

"Poisoning of the Mind"

2 Movie Mewtwo (Just plain awsome)

4 Drowzee (rocket) (i like long distance hypnosis when u have a hypno of any kind in ur hand)

1 Dark Hypno (psypunch is nice and i LOVE bench manipulation)

1 Hypno (fossil) (I like Dark Mind, great HP too)

4 Abra (rocket.....DAH!! of course)

2 Dark Kadabra (i like Mindshock and love the poke power when i need it)

1 Kadabra (basic) (what can i say, if u get it load it up and super psi away)

2 Slowpoke (1 rocket, 1 basic, it was hard to choose so i used 1 of each)

1 Dark Slowbro (i like fickle attack and LOVE Reel In)(i will mention a pokemon that works great with dark slowbro at the end of this report)

2 Ekans (rocket)(i like poison sting to take out those pesky poliwag and poliwhirl)

1 Dark Arbok (I LOVE POISON VAPOR, stare is handy too against those pain in the neck Mr. Mimes)

1 Scyther (Really good)

1 Venomoth (I love shift, this is my movie mewtwo killer)

2 Potion (to heal up those low hp rocket cards, it is also the origianal "Heal Em' Up")

1 Professer Oak (get rid of a bad hand and draw a better one)

1 Plus Power (Super Attacks)

2 Bosses' Way (to get out any of the dark cards)

1 Full Heal Energy (very handy)

ok the main strategy of this deck is to poison ur opponent with dark arboks poison vapor and and damage the bench at the same time. U can use dark hypno to take out ur opponents bench too. i found that if u just go for ur opponents bench that ur toast so i added in movie mewtwos and kadabra, dark kadabra, hypno(fossil), and scyther. Sometimes dark slowbro can contribute to this factor too.

Results for the Tournement:

Match 1 vs Victor with Poliwrath Water Deck

Ok i get a fair starting hand of scyther, abra, drowzee, 2 psychic energy, and a bosses' way (YES!!)

i start with abra to his poliwag and attach an energy to abra. he benched 2 other poliwags (what a pain) he attaches an energy to poliwag. I draw a dark hypno and play a bosses way, i search for dark kadabra and find it. i evolve abra to dark kadabra, attach an energy, evolve drowzee to dark hypno, and mind shock. He draws his card and bills. he attaches and energy to poliwag and evolves it to poliwhirl and uses amnisia on mind shock. i see that he is going to stall for as long as he can with amnisia but i withdraw kadabra send out scyther and say "go". he ended up attaching an energy to poliwhirl and used amnisia (stupidly) and chose slash. He wasn't paying much attention was my guess because he didn't seem to notice scythers retreat cost of 0 so i attached a psy energy (that i drew) to kadabra and passed. he benched a seel. and used doubleslap and only got one heads.i drew a psy energy and attached it to dark kadabra and withdrew scyther for dark kadabra, and mind shocked for the th defeat of his poliwhirl. i drew a a grass energy prize and he went. He sent out a seel and attached a water enrgy to it, and headbtted for 10. i drew a grass energy and attached it to scyther. i mindshocked for 30 and he started to complain about me cheating. well he had those poliwags on the bench but that was about it. he headbutted for ten. i drew a grass energy (YES TIME FOR SCYTHER) i attached an energy to scyther and used mind shock to knowck out his seel. i drew a prize of ekans and he went. He sent out one of the poliwags and attached an energy and water gunned for 10. i had 20 hp left on my dark kadabra. i attached a grass energy to scyther and withdrew dark kadabra for scyther and aslashed for the defeat of his poliwag. i drew a grass energy prize. he sent out his lonely poliwag and he water gunned (he attached an energy) for 10. i used slash for the victory and i moved on in the tourny.

Match 2 vs Mitchell w/ a haymaker deck

this was a short match because i had to mulligan once. he had a hitmonchan and an electabuzz and many more. well all i had was an abra so he beat me.

Break: *elevator music* mmmmddddooooddddodoooooooooooddo

Well the next mat would decide if i stayed in the tourny so the person i wanted to win was working a haymaker and the opponent was working a raindance. My person won YES!!!!!

Semi-Finals vs Thomas w/ Charizard Deck

This was a tough match because he had a charizard out by the 4th turn i had only had a drowzee and a kadabra (active and loaded) well his charizard had trouble loading up so i had it defeated before it could be loaded up. i was in trouble because he had a charmander almost loaded on his bench that he sent out and (To my amazement) evolved it to charizard. this was trouble for me but i did the best i could and did 100 damage to it. He knocked it out and i sent otu drowzee and used nightmare (i was loading it on the bench) with a plus power that i had drawn and defeated his charizard.then after i defeated his charizard he tried to bench a charmander but i said u can;t do that so he complained to the judge but i was right so i won.

The Finals vs Matthew w/ all colorless deck

this was a surprise to me that he had been using an all of one type deck when he usually uses potpourie decks. i got a starting hand of a dark kadabra, an abra, a hypno (fossil), and the rest psy energy. he started with a chansey and benched 2 kangaskan (i could see this would be a long match, there is no time limit by the way.) he never loaded up his chansey so i got a chance to get a drowzee and evolved it to hypno (fossil) while i was wrecking his kangaskans and chansey. i was near decking when i sent out dark hypno and caused some serious damage (his attack doesn't count weakness and resistance) i eventually got a scyther and loaded it up i never enede p using it tho. i had 2 cards left in my deck and his kangaskan had 40hp left so i was in danger of decking. i was really afraid of him having an imposter oak so i mind shocked with a plus power (that i drew during the game) and won because he had no more basics. YIPPEEEEE!!!!

I won the tourny and i was complimented by alot of people and many wanted my deck. I won $30 store credit and bought a bunch of rocket and base 2 boosters. i got a base 2 chansey, dark charizard holo, and many others like pigeot. I had fun today and thats what the game was made for.
