Hi, I recently competed in my first tournament over the weekend just checking
if all my practiced really paid off. The tournament was held at Kay-Bee Toys
located in the Carnation Mall at 2500 West State Street Alliance Ohio from
1:00pm till 3:00pm.It was a Pokemon League tournament allowing Japanese
cards, about 20 to 25 people showed up. I showed up kind of late due to a
freak alarm clock accident. And to make matters worse I had to register and
get the Pokemon League pamphlet doohickey all signed and stuff like that. oh
and I almost forgot about the Activity sheet for the Prerelease Dark
Gyarados! So on to the Deck shall we!

Now since I got there kind of late every thing was already in full swing so I
could only fit in 6 matches.

Match 1 vs The Gym Leader with Preconstructed lightning Bug Deck.
Ok this was an easy win I started out with a pretty good hand 3 Lightning
Energy, 2 Fighting Energy, 1 Lickitung, and 1 Electabuzz. Well I placed
lickitung as the active and benched the Buzz mean while she started out with
a Chansey  and a a full bench consisting of 2 Magnemite, 2 Weedle. and  1
Basic Pikachu. We flipped the coin and I won the toss with a heads. I drew my
card and lone behold it was the one and only Hitmonchan whom I benched
Imeadieatly, I attatched a lightning Energy to Lickitung and Tounge Wrapped
for 10 damage and Paralysis! She attached an energy to Pikachu and passed. I
drew my card and it was a Lightning Energy I attached a Fighting energy to
Hitmonchan and Tounge Wrapped for 10 and Paralysis again. Her turn she drew
her card and passed quite fast. My turn drew my card reavealing a Switch, I
played a Fighting Energy to Hitmonchan and Tounge Wrapped for 10 and
Paralysis again geez am I lucky! She drew and passed. I drew my card a Potion
attached a Lightning energy to Hitmonchan and switched Hitmonchan with
Lickitung and Special Punched killing off Chansey. Well since I had out a
fully pumped Hitmonchan and she had absolutley no energy or evolved Pokemon
to save her Hitmonchan took the win and it was SWEET!!

Match 2 vs Kid with a Charizard/Blaines Arcanine deck (Oh Boy!)
This match was probably my worst match ever , I started out with a hand that
could make cow meneuwer smell like cinnamon a lone Lickitung and the rest
Lightning energy. I placed Lickitung and lost the toss. He started out with 1
Rocket Charmander active and 2 more Rocket Charmander backed up by 2
Growlithe on the bench. He attached an energy to Charmander and Flame Tailed
for 20. My turn I draw a a a a a a a freaking Lightning energy geez I attatch
an energy to the Tung and did 10 damage failing to paralyze. He drew his card
Pokemon Breedered to Dark Charizard attached an enrgy to Cary and Continous
Fireballed for 100 damage killing my only basic and taking the win. I shook
his hand and traded a Mewtwo Movie Promo for a Donphan!

Macth 3 vs kid with Machamp/Wiggly deck.
So what I lost I ain't no sore loser I went on and played some more. I found
a kid my age (13) and played him for 4 prizes. this kids deck was truly
horrid and I am going to help him build a bigger better one so on with the
duel.
I started out with a sweet hand! 2 Hitmonchan,1 Tauros, and 2 Lightning
energy and 2 Fighting energy. I placed Hitmonchan as my active and benched
the rest drew my card cause I won the toss attached a Fighting energy and
Jabed his lone Jiggly for 40. His turn he uses a DCE and pounds for 20. My
turn I draw and Jab for the win!!

Match 2 vs kid with an all Colorless Wiggly deck (Oh Yeah!!).
Well with two wins I pressed on and duled a kid with a deck called No Name?
Weird huh, I won the toss and started out with a Hitmonchan and the rest
energy. He started out with an active Jiggly and 2 benched Rocket Dratini. I
drew my card a Hitmonchan and benched him attached an energy to my active
Hitmonchan and used Jab for 40. His turn he attached a DCE to Dratini evolved
inot Dark Dragonair used Evolutionary Light and placed a Dark Dragonite in
his hand and passed. I wen and drew a Bill used it and drew 2 more Bill used
them both and drew 3 Plus Powers and a Gust, I attached a Fighting energy to
the active Hitmonchan and used Jab again for 40 drawing a prize. His turn he
places a Rocket Dratini and uses the Dark Dragonairs PP again placing another
Dark Dragonite in is hand but forgot to evolve and played a DCE on Dark
Dragonair and passed. I drew my card not caring what it was attached another
Fighting energy to Hitmonchan and Special Punched for 40 killing his Dratini
he places the Dark Dragonair and Tail Strikes for 20 damage. I drew my card
attached the 3 Plus Powers to Hitmonchan and Special Punched for 70 damage
and the win!!

The Final Match vs a kid named Rick with a Dark Raindance deck.
I heard about him all day he has been undeafeated for the last 4 weeks there
so I decided to tkae him on. I won the coin toss and started out with a great
hand 2 Buzz, 1 Tauros and 2 lightning Energy and 2 Fighting energy, of course
I played Buzz as the active and benched the others, drew my card a Plus Power
attached  it and a energy to Buzz and Thundershocked his Dark Squirtle for 30
and paralysis!! His turn he passes. My turn I draw and and played the Bill I
just drew and received 2 Ers attached an energy to Buzz and Thunder punched
for 80 killing his Squirtle. His turn and get this he Forfeits and hands me
the win YEAH BABY YEAH!!!!!!!!

So thats the report I think I did good and I think everyone played well, so I
think it's time for Slops and Props!

Props to the Gym Leader for giving me the run down when she was swamped with
stuff to do.
