Hey Pojo, I've been browsing through the Killer Decks section for a while without seeing a single deck similar to this. It's a psychic-colorless deck, but the only psy-colorless decks I've seen are... wigglys.

I had built this deck a month ago when my previous deck lost 10 times in a row, and the current record for this deck is in the vicinity of 30-4. I've taken this deck to league, won an Apprentice tournament with it, and have had a 10+ game wining streak at one time. Without further adieu:

3 Energy Retrieval

4 Super Energy Removal

4 Full Heal E-

So you look at the deck for the first time. Doesn't look very promising? You see:
Snorlax - Way too much energy needed.
Gastly - No gengar?
BASE Haunter - This thing blows...
Drowzee - You putting yourself to sleep?
Full Heal Energy - What's this for?

But the seemingly 'tourney-worthless' cards in this deck come together very nicely, where very few cards are needed to pull off awesome combos. This deck is designed to take advantage of this. I'm listing many card combinations that I commonly use in play:

Snorlax active and multiple Drowzees benched - Use Long-Distance Hypnosis with no drawback (Snorlax can't be asleep), and if Snorlax is loaded, you have a 50/50 chance of Paralysis on top of any sleep you inflict.

Gastly w/ 2 energy and Drowzees benched - Use the Drowzees to Long-Distance Hypnosis your opponent's Pokémon, no matter the cost to yourself. If Gastly is not active, Full Heal Energy the pokémon out and retreat, or just Scoop Up. Even if gastly was out and put to sleep, evolving into Haunter removes the sleep, and since your opponent is already asleep, you can dream eater without the wait! Works well in late game as well as an early annoyance. Did I say dream eating Mimes were fun?

Comp. Search + Mewtwo - Well-known Combo... comp search, discard 2 energy, attach energy, absorb.

Fossil Gastly - Did you know that Energy Conversion can retrieve DCE and FH energy? Yes it can!

And this deck is very adaptable. Little change in plan is needed to apapt to the opponent

Weaknesses:
Fighting - Snorlax and Lickitung take hits from Hitmo, but it's pretty easy to take out a Mewtwo to handle it... or even Gastly who's resistant.
Psychic - Snorlax and Lickitung can handle them...
Snorlax - Out-Snorlax your opponent. SER helps.

And now the Tourney Report.

This deck was played on an Apprentice tournament (for the startup Pokémon Aaah! Apprentice League) on May 25, 2000. The Tournament was Single-Elimination, all cards from any set to neo allowed, and there were 8 people total.

Round 1 - I won pretty easily to a mono-psychic stall deck. I forget the details. 1-0

Round 2 - The deck I was up against consisted of 4 Electabuzz and 4 Magmar, both from the Neo set. The only pokémon that saw battle, though, were two of the buzzes, and needing two energy to attack for 20 didn't work so well as a loaded Snorlax was able to take them both out with the aid of SERs. 2-0

Round 3 - This being the final round, I found myself up against a deck loaded with Sabrina's Pokémon and Promo Mewtwos. Early on, my opponent had gusted and Psyburned two drowzees, but Snorlax's resistance to Psychic played a key role as one after another of his pokémon was put to sleep and knocked out. But Sabrina's Kadabra's attack kept doing an instant 80 damage to Snorlaxes, and eventually Mimes were able to meditate them out.  Gusts played a key role, especially at the end, tied at one prize each, where I Gusted and Psyburned a benched Kadabra for my last prize.

Well, that's all for now, I plan to take this deck to the Pokémon TCG Mall tour in San Jose, CA on June 3-4. I'll report again on how this deck fares!
