Hey!  I have been visiting your site since March 99'  and I still visit
your website every day.  Anyway, I rarely get to participate in tournaments
and have been waiting to use my OLD DECK that has never been played before!
A store by me holds a tournament about ONCE A YEAR, so when I found out it
was being held I was there!  Well, maybe once a half year.  I hope it works
out to be all right.  Here is my deck.  (Do you know how long it took me to
get 4 Kazams?)

Pokemon- 18
4 Abra
4 Kadabra
4 Alakazam
3 Tentacool
3 Chansey

Trainers-23
4 Mr. Fugi
4 Pokemon Center
3 Gust of Wind
4 Computer Search
2 Gamblers
2 Switch
4 Pokemon Trader

Energy- 19
15 Psychic Energy
2 Double Colorless

Everyone who is reading this article is thinking the same thing.  "This
is not original.  I have seen it about a trillion times.  Alakazam, Chansey,
and Tentacool again?"  It is actually pretty new.  Read the Strategy.

Strategy-  Let me start out by saying that this deck is meant to knock zero
pokemon, but you can a long the way.  This decks title gives it a way a
little.  You make your opponent draw the last card.  Wildfire decks are
designed to make your opponent draw the last card quickly.  This deck has a
longer, much more frustrating style.  You put your cards back in your deck so
the game is extra, extra long.
This deck has 2 strategies going on at the same time.  Get this picture.
Mr. Mime is your active pokemon.  Other then Nidoking, Mr. Mime can not be
taken out in 1 shot.  Swap damage from Mr. Mime to Alakazams and Chanseys
every turn.  Since the Defending Pokemon is inflicting a MAXIMUM of 20 damage
it will take quite a while to fill up 3 Chanseys + a bonus Alakazam.  When
your bench if feeling it and taking heavy damage, slap down Pokemon Center.
You can recover hundreds of damage and not discard any energy.  While your
stalling with that, what else should you do?  1. Meditate (Obviously it wont
hurt.) 2. All we need on our Mr. Mime is 2 energy, so what do we do with the
other 15?  Every turn attach your energy to the same pokemon.  Repeat this
until your pokemon has A LOT of energy.  Then use Mr. Fugi, all the cards you
attached to the pokemon go back into the deck.  Now you have a ton of more
cards to draw and your opponent is running out of TIME and he can't seem to
kill Mr. MIME!  Hey, it RHYMES! (And so does rhyme!)
I also have a back up strategy.  If you are have trouble finding those
Chansey's and Pokemon Centers, use Tentacool.  If you have 2 this may be even
better then the other combo!  Mr. takes a MAX of 20 damage each turn.
Tentacools Cowardice recovers 20 damage once every 2 turns, because the turn
it comes into play Cowardice can not be used.  But with 2 Tentacools, swap 20
damage to 1 Tentacool, Cowardice.  Next Turn Return this card to the bench
and Cowardice with the other.  Works just as or even more smoothly as the
other combo.

Oh yeah, Gambler is win you have a lot of cards in your hand use this and
hope for a tails, Switch is if they Gust of Wind Alakazam or a waiting
Kadabra, Computer Search and Pokemon Trader is to ensure you get Alakazam and
Mr. Mime, or you might use it to get Chansey and stall to get them, for
Pokemon Trader, just trade the Kadabra you no longer need.  Gust of Wind is
to get rid of Lapras and knock out Nidoking and Muk! (Before they get loaded)
If Lapras is a problem it is fine to retreat Mr. Mime once and switch to
Chansey, then switch the damage to the other Chansey's and use Double Edge
once.  Bye Lapras!

NOTE:  Since my deck has many trainers your thinking, I'll just Lass you!  If
you Lass me that works to MY advantage, extra cards for me to draw.

I never found out exactly, but I would say about 15 people were in this
tournament.  2 game elimination.  $3 to enter.

Now the time has come to put it to the test.  Here we go!

The Matches

Round 1: Me vs. Unprepared Rain Dance Deck (?)

I start with a Good Hand.  A Mr. Mime, an Abra, and Computer Search.  I
place a Mr. Mime down and I go up against Articuno.  A stroke of luck, does
nothing to Mr. Mime.  I use Computer Search to get Kadabra.  About 10 turns
later I draw Alakazam.  He is still keeping his Articuno out obviously not
knowing why I am attaching so many energy to one of my Tentacools.  I finally
draw Mr. Fugi muck later and shuffle about 13 cards back in my deck!  It
turns out, Alakazam was useless.  All I saw was Blastoise's, Gyarados's (Both
from base set and Articuno's)  Nothing could touch Mr. Mime, he should have
planned a head!  I actually won by drawing all of prizes instead of him
drawing all the cards.
(1-0)

Round 2: Me vs. Knock Out Wigglytuff deck. (Mike)

This person starts out with a Promo Jigglypuff!  I start out with a
Chansey. I Scrunch like a lot!  He obviously knew that using its Double Edge
was worthless against Chansey.  I draw Pokemon Trader and trade one of the 2
Kadabras in my hand for an Abra.  In 2 more turns I have Alakazam.  Got him
early this game.  I still need Mr. Mime!  Next turn is bad news.  Last turn
Chansey's Scrunch failed, and all in one turn he uses his Computer Search,
gets Wigglytuff, use Challenge!, oh wait, I declined.  You can always just
say No!  (The stupid thing about Wigglytuff and Challenge! is that the other
person can just decline.  It is only a Bill to me.)  He still did 40 damage
to Chansey.  2 turns later I draw a Mr. Mime!  I retreat and this Wigglytuff
is useless!  Now my bench has Alakazam, Chansey, and  Chansey.  He retreats
Wigglytuff and sends out Hitmonchan.  Jabs Mr. Mime for 20.  Swap the damage
over to Chansey who has 8 damage counters on him, meditate him.  Turn is
repeated and next turn I kill Hitmonchan.  He sends out Wigglytuff,
Wigglytuff still cant do damage to me, because it does 30.  The whole time I
attach energy to an Abra.  (About 6 now) I should have done it to Chansey.
He Gusts of Winds Abra and takes out Abra in one shot!  I use Pokemon Center
pretty early, Mike was in schock.  Mike does not know what to do and I guess
he hopes I draw the last card.  Yeah right!  He used a Professor Oak already.
I don't need Mr. Fugi this game.  He makes a few other moves with Hitmonchan
that are useless.  Mike just drew one to many cards.
(2-0)

Round 3: Me vs. Grass Deck (Chris)

I draw 1 Abra!  I think it is over, but he only draws 1 Nidoran Male!  I win
the flip and I go first.  I use Psyschock and get tails.  Now Nidoran has 20
HP left.  1 more hit to win!  He attaches a grass energy to Nidoran.  None of
us have benched pokemon.  He calls Horn Hazard.  If it is heads, he wins, if
it is tails I win.  The coin goes in the air, I am an UNLUCKY player when it
comes to coin flipping, but in this case I WIN!  It just did not feel right
though.  My first turn 2 WIN ever!
(3-0)

Round 4:  Me vs. Haymaker Deck (Robert)

I start off in a BAD position.  I place a Mr. Mime and he places Hitmonchan.
I go first again, I am on a luck streak.  It makes no difference since
Meditate needs 2 energy.  I place an energy on Abra.  Next turn he Jabs.  I
use Computer Search and find Kadabra.  I don't let him know yet.  I place a
second energy on Abra.  Robert Jabs again and draws a prize.  I place a third
energy on Abra and Super Psy Hitmonchan.  I draw a prize.  He sends out a
Scyther with no energy on it, he attaches an electric energy on to a benched
Scyther.  I realize that I kill this then the Benched Scyther will end up
killing me with two hits and I only get one shot at it.  I really annoy him
and Gust Of Wind his benched Scyther to me.  I Super Psy the benched Scyther.
Now his only pokemon with any energy has 20 HP left.  He attaches another
electric energy to his newly benched Scyther.  I kill his other Scyther.  Oh
yeah, I have a Chansey on my bench that I am charging up for Mr. Fugi.  He
attaches another energy to his Scyther and places a Farfetch'd on his bench.
I attach my fourth energy to Chansey and Super Psy Scyther.  He finally gets
to use Slash this turn which leaves Kadabra with 30 HP.  I draw a Tentacool,
but decide not to place it in case he was saving a Gust Of Wind.  I KO
Scyther on the next turn. (Go Kadabra!) next turn he uses Farfetch'd Leek
Slap and gets a heads.  Kadabra is knocked out.  I send out Chansey and use
Double- Edge to make him run out of cards.
(4-0)

I only decked one person so far.

Round 5: Me vs. Wildfire deck. (?)

This is the deck I have wanted to play.  He start out a Fossil Magmar and I
start out Chansey.  I place a Mr. Mime on bench.  He goes first and uses
Smokescreen.  I Attach energy to Chansey.  Next turn he uses Smog and gets a
tails.  I place another energy on Chansey and use Scrunch, which is tails (My
luck streak is over).  He uses Smog again and gets a heads.  I attach a
Double-Colorless energy that I was saving as a Surprise, I knew he would have
retreated his Magmar and bring out his Chansey before I placed my fourth
energy to use Double-Edge.  So I use Double Edge and knock out both of us.  I
send out Mr. Mime and he sends out Chansey.  I use Pokemon Trader to switch
Tentacool with Abra.  I attach energy to Mr. Mime even though I can't hurt
Chansey.  Next turn he places a Moltres and attaches a Fire Energy to it!  I
attach one more energy to Mr. Mime.  He attaches another energy to Moltres.
I attach energy to Abra.  He uses Professor Oak and another energy goes on
Moltres.  I use Gust of Wind and Meditate Moltres.  Who Wildfires my top 3
cards including a Kadabra!  I place another energy on Abra and Meditate.  He
places another energy on Moltres and discards a Switch.  I am not sure if it
was this turn or the next when I used Gambler and got a tails (Yeah!).  I
Meditate and KO Moltres this same turn.  I attach Double Colorless energy on
Abra.  He sends out Chansey, who can't touch my Mr. Mime.  For about 10 turns
nothing happens until I uses Mr. Fugi, and then I used Mr. Fugi on a
Tentacool with plenty of energy about 10 turns after that.  I think the other
Moltres must of been discarded when he used Professor Oak.  I decked him.
(5-0)

I did not compete in the next round.  There were only 3 people left.  Me, a
Rain Dance Deck (Not from Round 1), and the Wigglytuff deck (Round 2).

Since I have not lost, and they both lost once.  Whoever wins the next battle
faces me.  And the winner is....

FINALS

Final Round: Me vs. Knock Out Wigglytuff Deck (Mike)

I thought I beat this guy already?  This should be easy, right!  Just dont
speak to me.  I draw a Mr. Mime and Chansey feeling pretty good.  I decide to
play Chansey to stall.  He goes first and uses Hitmonchans Jab.  I attach an
energy to Mr. Mime.  He Jabs me again.  I attach an energy to Mr. Mime again.
He KO's Chansey and I Meditate Hitmonchan.  He Jabs Hitmonchan.  I Meditate
again and knock out Hitmonchan.  His only pokemon left is a Scyther.  Then he
Professor Oaks.  Then he Professor Oaks again and places a regular
Jigglypuff.  He attaches a Double Colorless to Jigglypuff and retreats
Scyther.  Mike uses Pound and the game is over in a snap!
(5-1)

Are decks are exactly the opposite.  He draws cards with Professor Oak and I
put my cards back in.  His deck was designed to be fast (Your deck Scott, he
denies it though.), mine was designed to take it slow.  This is the absolute
final round.  Lets get right into it.

After not having much luck for a while, I start with an Abra, Computer
Search, Mr. Mime, Alakazam, and the rest energy on the first hand.  I place
Mr. Mime against Scyther.  He skips his turn probably saving the energy,
because he knows that Scyther cant touch Mr. Mime.  On turn 2 I use meditate
and use Computer Search to find Kadabra, evolve Abra, and Meditate Scyther.
And just when I think that it is over the next turn he Computer Searches out
a Jigglypuff.  He retreats Scyther and plays Jigglypuff and attaches a
fighting energy. I hate that resistance!  I evolve Kadabra to Alakazam.  He
pounds Mr. Mime and I swap damage to Alakazam.  I use Gambler and get tails
(Yeah!).  I draw Tentacool and put it on my bench.  I use Cowardice and get
rid of the damage.  Still he is doing 20 damage once every 2 turns!  I am
going lose at this rate.  I draw Switch on the next turn.  He uses pound and
I cant use Cowardice.  I draw a Computer Search.  But I only have 1 card in
my hand.  2 turns later I use Computer Search to find another Tentacool.  Now
he cant hurt me for the rest of the game.  And since Gambler already gave me
a 4 extra card in deck advantage, I did not need to do anything.  I decked
him good!

Conclusion

This is a deck that not only decks people, but KO's them as them as you stall
at the same time!  That is, unless the other pokemon is colorless.  This is a
SLOW deck none the less.  That is why I threw in A LOT of all the pokemon.
And if you can't find Chansey, use Tentacool.  The Computer Search's and
Pokemon Trader's helped A LOT too.

I won $18 store credit and got 4 Team Rocket packs.  The rare cards I got
were:

Holo Dragonite
Holo Gyarados
Vileplume
Rainbow Energy
