Wuz up Scott, hey all you fellow pojomaniacs, Sean reporting again. This was a really, really small tournament, as a lot of people who usually enter were at the mall getting Chris Jericho's autograph. Anyway, I was just writing this out of boredom, because I really didn't change the deck a whole lot. As usual, the entrance fee was $3.00. I entered once again with my friend Rudi, and this time my friend Troy entered. On wiht the report.

All Right, first of all, if you read the original Tuff
Stuff Report, you'll notice that the changes I made are minor at best. For a
complete strategy for the deck, refer to the original report, located in the
April killer decks.
STRATEGY:
For starters, I was having problems with decking. I'd
always seem to be with in reach of winning, one or two prizes away, and then I'd
deck out. Also, my Wigglytuff was constantly getting ER'd and SER'd before I
could attack with it. To kill two birds with one stone, I added the two Lasses.
Lass allows me to both get cards back into my deck, and stops my opponent's use
of SER's until Wiggly can get a few attacks off. Second, Item Finder was
added into the deck. Item finder is awsome as well as Lass. Since there are
always times where I've wished for another Pluspower or GOW, item finder was a
welcome addition to my deck. I sacrificed an SER, an energy and a retrieval to
add the Lasses and finders. Well, that's the strategy, now on with the report.
The matches were best 2 out of 3 to start, with a round
robin in the final round.
One more thing, bare with me here, I can't remember the
exact details since I was sick that day, and it was like, three days ago.
Round 1: me vs Gary with Wildfire.Dec
Match 1: As you may or may not know, I
lost to this deck in a previous tournament, but this time I was prepared. After
taking about 20 minutes to decide what deck he was going to use, he played the
odds that I was using Tuff Stuff and chose Wildfire. Last time I played him, I
kept my bills and oaks in my hand, and tried not to deck myself, but thats what
happened anyway. This time, I decided to use my deck's speed to my advantage,
and win before he could even use ase a pokecenter. The match started with his
moltres to my hitmonchan, what a great start. I remember that he wildfired me a
couple times as I special punched away for 10 damage a turn. After I got about
20 on the moltres, I got a wiggly out and oaked, getting a lass, which I used to
get rid of a Pokecenter and a scoopup, sweet. After taking out his moltres, I
faced another, which fell to a Wave with a plus power. He gamblered with heads,
and got a Chansey and some centers. Finally, I drew a gift from God. With a hand
full of useless ERs and retrievals, and 5 cards in my deck, I drew a Lass. As it
turned out, I never had to use it, because he didn't bench his scooped Chansey
and I KO'd his Moltres with Wave and a pluspower. No Bench, I win.
Match 2: This time, I was afraid I
might get my Lasses early and have to Oak them or something, but my fears were
unneccessary. After about 3 turns I had a pumped Wiggly out against his Moltres.
He had scooped his other one the turn before, leaving his bench empty. I had two
on my bench. I saw my break after he widfired me. I drew an oak, attached a
pluspower, and used the oak. All I needed was three basic. I drew.... and got a
pluspower, and enough basics for the KO. I waved for the win. On to the second
round.
ROUND 2
Match 1: Me vs Kevin with ... a deck
made specifically to take out mine!
I knew this would be ugly. Even with my coverage of
weakness, I couldn't cover that much, that fast. His Magmars destroyed my
Scythers, his Chans decimated my Wigglys, and his Scythers kept my Chans at bay.
Combined with an energy removal every time I attached an energy, his playing of
my weakness destroyed me this match.
Match 2: I knew I had very little
chance at beating him, but he started with a bad hand this time. I lassed him to
make sure, than beat him senseless with my hitmonchans. I got lucky and won by
benching him before he could get going.
Match 3: To make a long story short,
Kevin was out for blood this time. I managed to stay in the game for a while,
but he ER'd the crap out of me, leaving me energyless. A few well-timed Scoop
ups helped me stall longer, but I ended up decking myself. Oh well, at least
there's always second place.
ROUND 3: Me vs Rudi for second place.
This was a one match duel to see who
would get second.
Match 1: Well, he was playing a risky
mono-fighting deck. I say risky because of all the dangers of fighting
resistance. He had beaten me in practice before, but that was cause I started
only with a jigglypuff. Anyway, to shorten this otherwise well...short story, I
started with a Scyther and after I ER'd all of his benched Hitmonlee's energy,
he simply forfeited.
Final Result- SECOND place. I won 6 bucks store credit and bought the last base set two booster and got......... a Pokemon Trader! Yippeee(Sarcasm again)
Oh well, not the best, but it shows my deck can hold up on the tourney scene. Hey I can't win all the time, and second ain't bad. Next time I'll win, especially after my next top-secret deck is finished....MWAAHAAHAAHAAA.............
