Hello, my name is vital and my tourney took place at Books-A-Million in
Lessburg, FL, in the Lake Square Mall on 05/06/00.

About 25 people participated, and competition was a little fierce, seeing
this was all of our first tourney's, and everyone wanted to win. Prize
was 12.00 Store Credit, second place got 1 booster (yay).

I decided that I needed a good deck. My good card stock was low, so i
asked an online friend for help. He told me of this deck, and i quickly
traded for most of the cards i needed to complete it. And now i give you,
Sponge.

Strategy - SPEED. Get Electabuzz out as soon as possible, and attack
relentlessly. After 1 or 2 Electa die, you should have won =), if not,
use more electa, or use mew2 to clean the bench and get the rest of your
prizes. Ditto is their for a BIG surprise. Scoop whenever you can, and
have an attacker ready. Keep this up, and kill kill kill, then you should
win.

On to the tourney!

Rules : Single Elim, Jap Cards Allowed, Non-DCI, 15 minute rounds except
for FINALS, SEMIFINALS.

Round 1 vs. Terry - Age Mid 30's - Gender Female - Deck Original Jap
Deck.

Man, Terry puts together some pretty good decks, although I almost ALWAYS
have the edge on her. Today was no exception. I start with electabuzz,
and her ditto. I go first. Shock, Para. She attached 1 nrg to ditto and
ER'd me. I shock again, no para. She shocks and no para's me. I get plus
power and attach nrg. I pray for heads...HEADS!! I win, third turn.

Round 2 vs. Christian - Age 7 or 8 - Gender Male - Deck Psy/Electric
Hybrid.

Aw man...I knew I'd win, but I'd feel like an ass for doing it. Oh well.
To make it short, he got some cheap hits and killed 1 electa, but  I
killed him off really fast. At least he didn't cry...

Round 3 vs. Stevie - Age 11 - Gender (who know's, LoL) Male - Deck
Raindance

Now, another little kid, not as little. but still pretty young. I didnt
feel sorry because he was bragging. He played with Squirtle. I guess it
was a raindance, But I didn't see more than 2 Squirtle's and that's it. I
go first, shock, no para to his Squirtle. He attaches to Benched squirtle
and passes. I shock and get prize. He lays another Squirtle, evolves 1st
one. Attachs NRG, Withdraw..FAILS. I KO Wartortle. He send squirtle,
bubbles, no para. I punch, heads, i win (even if it was tails =) ). He
went and cried and said i didnt shuffle my deck. (stupid liars)

Round 4 (Semi's) vs. David - Age 13 - Gender Male - Deck - STALL.

Oh no..stall...oh no..mewtwo was powerless, and to get worse, no time
limit. I thought i was screwed. I don't remember the whole match, but it
went like this, I got near ko'ing chansey, and then he'd scoop or center.
I eventually got 2 down with my electa's, then 2 more with my ditto
(double edge) and then it came down to the wire. I had 10 cards left. I
relentlessly attacked chansey's (he had recycle's and they were uncanny).
I picked off one..so close to another..2 cards left...1 prize left, i was
sure he had scoop or pokecenter..i was 10 damage away...he had NOTHING!
Thundershock KO for win.. (On a Side Note: I was shaking during the whole
match)

Round 5 (FINALS) vs. Robert - Age 13 - Gender Male - Deck Original

My rival. I've never beat him. Well...it started out good. I had him
3-6...then He stalled with haunters, and hit heads 99/100 times. I was
doomed and decked myself. =(

Result - Second Place

I got a rocket booster and got a non holo Hypno in it (BLAH) Oh well i
had fun and got some experience. It was a great day, nonetheless.
