there isn't much to do here, but play TCG, and I'm a fairly predominant
Magic player here, so I moved to pokemon easily. I would love a league
tourney, but so far, there are just rec.-association tourneys for me to play
in. I have done quite well with this deck, and I once had almost the entire
thing stolen. here's my deck, which has always done VERY well, and has been
upgraded as the expansions roll in.

4 ditto (versatile killing machine)

3 Scyther (I used to have farfetch'd, but scyther's way better)

4 nightly garbage run

2 GOW (pound on weaklings, or energy-less guys, for stalling)

4 Pluspower (when ya just gotta do a bit more)
2 Itemfinder (sometimes once just isn't enough)
2 Goop Gas Attack (there is a massive abundance of mimes, dittos, and
erika's dratini here, and I just want a swift win, this card is only used
when I knows my opponent well)

4 DCE (scythers, ditto)

2 Full Heal Energy (ditto is useless when asleep, confused, or paralyzed

this deck is fairly low on energy, because the mewtwos can just absorb, and
because of the nightly garbage runs, so its fairly efficient. the low number
of pokemon, and energy allows for more trainers. Ditto is completely useless
when asleep, confused, or paralyzed, so the full heal energy is there for
him, and pretty much him alone. He turns the FHEs into any energy, and he
can use the best attacks of your opponent, sometimes before they can, if
you're using a DCE. There are not very many decks that I face who use those
status changes, but raindances are a big threat. I am pondering whether or
not I should put wiggly in this deck, as he is so powerful.

the tourney was 1-loss elimination, and I didn't get eliminated.
the only matches I remember REALLY well, are the qyarter, semi, and final,
because the prelims were so rushed, and busy.

I faced a scyther/mime/ditto/electabuzz haymakjer in the quarters, but the
owner wasn't all that good at this. he starts with a buzz, but switches to a
mime, thinking he was gonna stop my ditto. I had a loaded magmar who killed
his mime with 1 attack, and who then slaughtered his scyther. he got my
magmar with his buzz, but buzz went down with mewtwo

boo ya

in the semis, a breeder-less dark raindance went down fairly easy. buzz and
ditto layed the smack down, with DCE coming mighty handy VS a dark
blastoise. I win 2 prizes left, to her 5, cuz her bench ran dry

final match, vs a weird deck
this was the usual haymaker, but for some reason there were clefairy dolls,
and mysterious fossils thrown in for no apparent reason. the guy had
Hitmonchan, Buzz, and Chansey, but no use for the dolls, or fossils. he
wouldn't say why they were in there.
anyway, he started with a chansey, and just kept scrunching till he
double-edged! I lost a scyther, mewtwo, and magmar, before my ditto took 2
chanseys down (yay pluspower). then, bye bye ditto, and my mewtwo took out
chan, then buzz (got tails twice on punch) then I scooped, sent out ditto,
and sent a buzz packin.
no bench 4 him

YAY!

I won 4 Base Set 2 boosters, with an electabuzz. I gonna get another one, or
more, and use him
