A deck made especially for the people who want to
beat those Wiggys and
Haymakers

How Many People-20 People
Hi. Brian here with this new deck I have invented. By the
way, Pojo your
Website is tight and keep up the great work. I have been visiting your
website everyday for a while and I love your Killer Deck Report section . I
have been seeing WAY too much Haymaker decks and Wigglys and I have been
getting tired of seeing them. Most of the decks today are Trainer stacked ,
almost taking up their whole deck. Wigglytuff deck s need Oaks, Computer
Searches and those annoying Bills. Those cause more and more drawing
that
they draw so mush cards they have alot of choices to beat you. But they
always forget that decking out is another way of losing. In order to win with
this deck, you have 2 choices. One , is to keep your opponent locked from
using his/her trainers. Most decks rely on trainers thats why this deck can
devastate almost every single deck. While keeping you opponent chained away
from the trainers, you can begin the beatdown. The other way is to have your
opponent deck out ASAP. As almost everyone knows, that most decks have
Professor Oaks, Computer Searches, and Bills. That will wear them down even
better.
POKEMON:
4x Rocket Oddish-This card is one of my favorite common card. It can stall
and do damage at the same time. But with a reasonable 50 HP, It can do
potiential damage and cancel your opponents plans. Oddish's Auto poison and
auto sleep for one energy is really powerful. Making them asleep and poisoned
at the same time is very fun, but until Oddish evolves.
3x Rocket Dark Gloom-This card isnt too bad. Its Pokemon power and lucky
flips will cause your opponent to stall by hitting it self in confusion. A
trick here is if you have this card on bench and Dark Vileplume as the
active, you can try to conuse Dark Vileplume purposely in order to use a
trainer you have in your hand. (**NOTE: ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN DARK VILEPLUME
IS CONFUSED as your active pokemon, you CAN use trainers. Asleep, confusion,
and paralysis stops the power. Right after you use your trainers, you may
attach a full heal energy to Dark Vileplume to keep the power continuing and
take effect on your opponent once more. Dont remind you opponent this
because most of them forget this effect)
3x Dark Vilplume- (Specifically, 2 Non Holo ones and 1 Holo one. If some of
you know why i say this is because of the change in weaknesses, Non Holo Dark
Vileplume: Weak to Fighting, Holo Dark Vileplume: Weak to Fire)- The key
to
this deck. Many people hate this card just because of its Low Hp, but many
dont know how much its pokemon power takes an enormous effect on many decks.
Just keep Dark Vileplume on your bench safe and sound, while you attack hard
with Dark Muk and Scyther. Use Boss' Way to help locate this card in your
deck. I noticed barely anybody uses this card in their deck.
Keep your
dark vileplumes fed with energy, just in case. Your opponent can do nothing
to you, such as using those annoying SER and ER. Just be sure to evolve
Oddish as fast as you can into Dark Vileplume.
4x Erika's Dratini-This card is unbelievable. Its pokemon power also has a
big impact on all decks. This is a Perfect stall Pokemon and should be
inserted into ALL decks. Finally WOC made a better dratini than those Base
Set and Rocket Expansion ones. If you slap on a DCE, you can do 120 damage
with 4 lucky flips in four turns. I like this card because its an uncommon.
Its much easier to find than a rare, similar to Fossil Magmar. A scoop up is
its best card to match up with, when your opponent wears Dratini down with 30
damage on it, you can heal up and another 3 turns of damage has to be waited
from your annoyed opponent. Chansey has a new rival in stalling. Clearly,
This card has one of the Best Pokemon Powers in the Game.
4x Scyther- Best Jungle card out there. From what i have observed in
pokemon
games, I haveseen that Scyther barely gets to actually fight. Ive noticed
that its mainly used for retreating or used as a wall to get hurt while you
pump up your pokemon with energy. Retreating Scyther and Battling with
your
energized benched pokemon is a common strategy. Scyther, with the resistance
to fighting will help back up the Dark Vileplume that has a weakness to
fighting. Theres nothing Bad about this card. Fit s perfectly in every single
deck and is popular in Wigglys.
3x Fossil Grimer-This card can stall for a while with 1 energy Paralysis. 50
HP is good enough for a cheap common card. Just like a Baby Likitung, but
not as fat as Likitung to retreat. I like the fact that it requires any
type
of energy to use an attack that can do damage plus a possible effect. Not
the Best common, but when it evolves is when the Lock down continues. I would
prefer the fossil Grimer than the Rocket Grimer because it's 10 more HP. It
looks like a stupid change but it can change the game in different ways. The
Rocket Grimer is good enough for attacking, but when theres quick
attacking
these days coming from your opponents haymakers, wigglys, etc. , an
unsuspecting attack can defeat it so easily. 10 more HP dan make a
difference.
3x Dark Muk- This is another Key to this Deck. Your Opponent must be Locked
Down, in this case of this card, is to keep your opponent from retreating .
It increases the retreating cost of your opponents active pokemon and the
game is about retreating to safety. I think this card is one of the best
cards in the game and has the best pokemon power plus attack combo ever. The
opponent needs to retreat if its poisoned and with 2 grass energy it can do
20 damage plus automatic poison. While reducing the opponents active
pokemon's HP, you can retreat Dark Muk for Scyther or Dratini to help
finish
off the pokemon.
Total Pokemon: 24 in all, 15 Basic Pokemon, 9 Evolutions
TRAINERS:
4x Boss' Way- Get those Dark Vilplumes out to start the stalling. Dark Muks
also need to be found to cause more damage and help cancel out the plans your
opponent was about use. I love this card because the fact it doesnt
require
flipping coins and discarding for you to get a certain card in your deck.
4x Computer Search-Help find those basic pokemon out to evole into powerful
pokemon. Get out those Scythers and those Dratinis to help do more damage and
stall longer. During these tourneys, I used computer search for 2 things:
Basic Pokemon and Energy. I never used it for other trainers, nor evolutions.
2x Nightly Garbage Run-Avoid decking out yourself. In my opinion, I thought
that this card is the best trainer in the Rocket Expansion. It helped me win
many games and i recommend to everyone to use it in their decks. I never
worry about decking out anymore if I put a couple of these into a deck.
2x Imposter Oak-I experimented with this card and found out that it did a
huge impact on the games I have played. I always use it when ever my opponent
hand is lower than 6 or less cards. I have another stall deck i have created
which contains 2 Imposter Professor Oaks and I have never lost with it
yet.
You should never judge a card by just reading it, you have to actually use it
in order to know what it can do.
2x Pokemon Breeder- Get those Dark Vileplumes out . The only deck i have seen
this card in is Raindance. Nobody seems to like using other stage 2
pokemon
besides Blastoise.
14x Trainers in all (Obviously there arent much trainers here because of Dark
Vileplume)
ENERGIES:
17x Leaf Energy-Plenty of energy for all the pokemon in this deck.
3x Double Colorless Energy- Mainly used for Erikas Dratini and Scyther.
2x Full Heal Energy-Used for Dark Vileplume in case of an effect done to
it.
22x Energies in all
The Tournaments
4:15 PM (Before Tourney): I finally arrive at Neutral Ground
in Santa
Clara with Lock Down Forever. I Begin by buying 2 1st Edition Gym Heroes
Booster packs. I've got one of those rare Misty's Goldeens and a Blaine's
Moltres holofoil. I was new to this place at that time and I made so much
friends easily because of my binder with Holofoils. I ask the Cash
Register
Lady how much the pokemon tourney is to join. It was 3 Bucks and the prize
was 6 1st edition Boosters for 1st place. There was exactly 20 people who
joined. This 10 year old boy named Ryanoffered to battle be so i agreed
and
we got set up really fast. He supplied the damage counters because i left
them all at home. He seemed to have this odd raindance deck. It was odd
because it had Blastoise, a whole lot of water energy, and 2 other types of
pokemon, an electabuzz (thunder) and Magmars(fire). I saw his deck and
offered to help fix it up after we play. Also I noticed that his deck looked
way more than 60 cards, I let it slide and we got on playing.
PRE-TOURNAMENT against RYAN-He starts. My hand Oddish , Boss'
Way,
Scyther, Dark Muk, 1 Double Colorless Energy, and 2 Leaf Energies. I put
Scyther in the arena and benched Oddish. Flip a coin to see who begins. I
lose the toss, he sends out a Magmar and benched a Rocket Squirtle. He
begins by attaching a fire to Smokescreen me for 20. I draw a Grimer, Benched
it, retreated Scyther to cancel the smokescreen check . Attach 1 Leaf Energy
to Grimer and used Nasty Goo. Flip and then Paralysis. His Turn-He
evoloves
the Squirtle into a Wartortle attaches a fire to Magmar and passes. I draw
a
card, which is a Breeder. I use my Boss' Way to search for a Dark
Vileplume.
I breed Oddish and Dark Vileplume has taken over. I attach a DCE to
Scyther
and use Nasty Goo. Flip and Paralysis. His Turn-He draws and does nothing. I
draw a card, a Grass Energy. I attach to Scyther and attacked with Nasty Goo
Once more. Flip and Heads Again. His Turn-He draws and does nothing. I knew
he had a hand full of trainers that were useless since Dark Vileplume stepped
in. My turn, I draw a Dark Muk. I evolve Grimer and attached a Leaf to
Dark
Muk. Auto Poison plus 20 damage to the defending pokemon. Magmar has 10 HP
left. His turn-He wanted to retreat but Dark Muk's pokemon power held
Magmar
from retreating. I expected Ryan to attach an energy but he didnt. He Used
Smog just to do something and fails to Poison. His Magamar became knocked out
after his turn. During the whole game I only used Dark Muk to battle and he
beat 3 of the defending pokemon until he ran out of basics. Dark Muk really
did the most damage in this battle. I win 3 Prizes to 6, My bench -a Pumped
up Scyther, an Energyless Dark Vileplume, and a Dratini with a Dce connected
to it, His Bench- Nothing so i won. I helped him make a new deck for him to
use during the tournament. We decided to dismantle the deck and create a new
one. We both agreed to use a thunder deck since he had alot of those
Electabuzzes. The announcer acknowledged us that the tournament was about to
begin.
Game 1 against this boy with a Regular Haymaker deck, consisting of
Elecatbuzz and Scyther. This game was pretty easy because all i had to do is
wait for my opponent to do nothing during his turn and say "finished".
I
again noticed that his hand was getting bigger and bigger every turn and i
suspected he had ALOT of trainers. I could see it in his face that he wanted
to get rid of my Dark Vileplume so badly. During this game i just beat him
down with my Scythers and Erika's Dratini. Usually when I use Scyther to
swords dance, my opponent usually energy removes it and causes the swords
dance to stop. But not this time. I begin the first couple turns getting Dark
Vileplume out really quick Scyther, which I put as the sctive pokemon since
the beginning turn, was doing the heavy damage. I pumped up Dark Vileplume
and retreated Scyther. Dark Vileplume finished everything off with Petal
Whirlwind. I Confused myself because whenever i get 2 or more heads. My
opponent forgot that when Dark Vileplume is confused you can use trainers. He
lost confidence and never thought clearly so he forgot about the rules. He
passed even with many trainers in his hand he can use but he forgot that
confusion rule. I use a the trainers i had in my hand which he got mad
about
because he forgot that Dark Vileplume cant use the pokemon power once its
confused. I I won pretty easily. He barely had any energies and a whole lot
of trainers that werent going to be in use once Dark Vileplume came. That
was a fun, simple game.
BLAZE'S LOCK DOWN DECK: WINS-2 LOSES-0
Game 2 Against Van with Speed Wiggly. I decked this guy out within 10 minutes
because he used so many Oaks and Bills. He uses about 2 Oaks and 2 Bills in
turn one. His active was a Jiggly and a whole bench of haymaker basics. I
put out an Erika's Dratini and an Oddish on Bench. He energizes Jiggly with a
DCE. Pounds Erika's Dratini for 10. I attach a DCE to Erika's Draitni . I
have a Breeder and a Boss's way to get out Dark Vileplume out . I didnt
evolve Oddish just yet and i did the right choice. I finished my turn by
doing only 1o damage to Jiggly. Right after my turn he uses 2 more Bills and
Oaks plus a couple of those Computer Searches. He gets Wiggly and just
does
the wave to do only 10 damage. His deck was nearly gone so I evolve my Dark
Vilplume to stall. And thats what it did the whole game. I beat him by
decking him out, I knew he had some of those Nightly Garbage Runs that he
wanted to use to prevent decking out. That was a short game and Dark
Vileplume did most of the work once again.
BLAZE"S LOCK DOWN DECK: WINS-3 LOSES-0
Game 3 I loved this game. It was very close and very exciting. I was playing
this old lady with this Raindance deck. Starting flip, I call heads and
outcome is heads. My hand, a Scyther, 4 Leaf Energies, 1 Computer Search, and
a DCE. I was safe with the computer search in my hand. I draw an energy. I
attach to Scyther and Swords danced. Her turn: She has a Lapras and a
squirtle benched. She attached to Lapras and Water Gunned me for 10. My turn:
I draw a grimer. I benched it and attach an DCE to Scyther. I slashed for 60.
Her turn: She breeds Squirtle into Blastoise ,Oaked and thats where all
the
danger comes in. She benches Articuno and another Lapras. She attaches2 to
Lapras and 2 to Articuno and Oaked again. Now she had a full hand of energies
and attached 4 to Blastoise, 2 to Articuno, and 1 to Lapras(the active one),
retreats to Articuno and Blzzards, tails hurting her bench. My turn. I
draw
an Oddish and benched it. I attach to Oddish retreated Scyther and made
Articuno asleep just to survive. Her Sleep check: Tails. (Yes!) He draws and
does nothing. Sleep check: Tails. (yes! again!) I draw and get a Dark Gloom.
I evolve Oddish right away and flipped for Pokemon Power Pollen Stench.
Heads! Yea! Articuno and do 10 damage plus poison. I knocked out articuno
easily and later on evolved dark gloom into Dark Vileplume. Let me get on to
the exciting part in the end. Her deck had 3 cards mine had 3 also because
she used many Nightly Garabage runs and Mr. Fujis to keep her deck fat. I had
only my injured Scyther that stayed in the game till the start. She had 2
Powered Blastoise and a whole bench consisting of Articunos and Lapras, Her
active was one of those Blastoise. She just knocked out my Grimer and i was
forced to send out Scyther. It was my turn and i thought i was going to lose.
I started by drawing a card. It was an IMPOSTER OAK! Yes!! Her hand had only
2 cards so i used it! She shuffled her hand in and drew 7 cards and I passed
causing her to lose since she could not draw any more cards.
BLAZE"S LOCK DOWN DECK: WINS-4 LOSES-0
Game 4 FINALS You wouldnt guess who i played against. When they announced his
name I was suprised. It was Ryan who i played against for practice before
the game. I helped him make the thunder deck and he has made it to the Finals
with it against me. He beat 3 people too with the deck I helped him
make.
That was weird. Oh well, On to the game. It was pretty simple because only
once card led to me victory,...You know who it is. Yes you guessed it. Dark
Vileplume. I brought it out in the middle of the game and stalled for the
rest of the game. I made him draw more cards with both of my Imposter
Professor Oaks . I made him deck out in 10 Minutes.
