Regular Pokemon League (roughly 26 particapants)
Hi pojo, this
is my first killer deck report, so it's not all
that different from the others. Today was a regular pokemon league with a
fair amount of people. I attend it weekly and usually use a haymaker or a
wiggly deck to earn tons of points. Last month, I attended a tournament with
my wiggly deck and got 2nd place. The reason I didn't get 1st was because I
got creamed with energy removal/super energy removal. Anyways, here is my
deck:
"Magnolia"V.1.0
Pokemon(17)
3 Jigglypuff
3 Wigglytuff
3 Ditto
4 Scyther
4 Electabuzz
Trainers(23)
4 Bill
3 Professor Oak
4 Pluspower
3 Gust of Wind
3 Super Energy Removal
2 Energy Removal
1 Item Finder
Energy(20)
8 Lightning
8 Grass
4 Double Colorless
Well there you have it, another very
unoriginal and typical wiggly
deck. I don't know why I named this deck from a very strange movie, it's just
that every report I've read in the past had "wave","jiggly",or
"wiggly" in
its name that was wiggly made. Besides, I just saw the movie and it sounds
kinda cool. On to the report...
Round 1:Magnolia vs. Erica's garden deck
This was a very quick battle. I drew a sweet hand; a jiggly,
a wiggly, a
bill, a scyther, an electabuzz, and 2 lightning. I put out the scyther first,
he had an Erica's bellsprout out, with another on the bench. I won the coin
flip and drew a lightning. I used bill and got and oak and another bill. I
used it and got another wiggly and a scyther. I attached an energy on jiggly
and passed. he drew and did a Blaines quiz no.1 on me. Of course, I got it
wrong (he had a dragonite) and drew 2 cards. It's impossible to get those
right unless you're a pokefreak. He attached and energy on his active sprout
and passed. I evolved it into wiggly, retreated, oaked, got a double. oaked
again, got a full bench, and ripped the deck apart. Although he did manage to
evlove it into weepibell, an untimely pluspower helped.
1-0 Win
Round 2:Magnolia vs. GigaShockdeck
This was a little more tricky. He had 4 zapdos out (did he
shuffle well)?
and an electabuzz with a voltorb out! I sent a scyther out with jiggly and
ditto on the bench. I attached an energy on jiggly and passed. He attached an
energy on Zapdos and passed. I attached a double on jiggly, evolved,
retreated, oaked, got a full bench, and killed the voltorb. He sent out an
electabuzz and put down a voltorb. I used pluspower and knocked it out. He
sent out a zapdos. evolved voltorb, used buzapp and attached it on the
benched zapdos, with another energy. My turn, I used super energy removal on
the zapdos and did 60. he attached an energy on the same one and passed. I
used energy removal on the electrode and knocked the other one out. It kept
on going until I won.
2-0 Win
Round 3:Magnolia vs. colorless stall
You can tell by the name that this battle took a while.
Licktungs,Chanseys,Snorlaxes,Kangaskhans..you name it. But wigglytuff
eventually beat them all down, along with energy removals. But man, was this
battle long.....I had to cut it.
3-0 Win
Round 4:Magnolia vs. Charizard deck
I almost lost in this battle, probably the hardest, although
very quick.
I had scyther out, he went first. He put a fire on charmander and did 20. I
put an energy on jiggly (by now, you probably would've noticed that I start
the same way, end the same way). He attaches a colorless on charmander,
evolves, and knocks scyther out (keep note that that's his only in-play
pokemon). I send out jiggly.Use comp.search for an oak, and get a bunch od
gusts and energys (ahhh)! but wait! I had an item finder. I use it for an oak
and get wiggly. I use another comp search for a DOC. I bill (got an oak:) and
oak again for a full bench. I get 2 plus powers. use another comp. search for
another pluspower and win! He shows his hand which had a charizrd in it
(whew, close)!
4-0 Win
Round 5:Magnolia vs. Moltres deck
He had a snorlax out with moltres benched. He started warming
up his
moltres. I had an electabuzz out which slowly knocked out snorlax while I
warmed up my jiggly (soon to be wiggly). He sounds out a powered up rockets
moltres and does 40 to buzz. I retreat. send out wiggly. Use comp search for
an oak amd get a full bench. Game.
5-0 Win
Round 6:Magnolia vs. colorless beat down
This guy had a snorlax out (the third person to do so) with a
pidgey on
his bench. He does a Blaines quiz no.1 and yells out "66 lbs. 3 foot
7" At
that moment I had an Electabuzz down with THE SAME STATUS. I couldn't
believe that I was actually going to get a stupid Blaine's quiz right! I say
electabuzz and to my surprise...IT WAS PIDGEOTTO! I checked it 3 times and it
had the same stats. I called the gym leader and asked how this can be. Sure
as it was, it was either the Pokemon designer made a weird mistake or just
another crazy coincidence. We went along with the second. But I just let him
draw two cards. Anyways. I ended up getting wiggly on turn 3 and wreaked
havoc on his Pokemon.
6-0 Win
There you have it, not a very long report, put pretty decent if I say so my
self.
I'll probably imporve this deck or something when I enter a bigtime tournament
(there's one coming up here) 'till then, I figure out some other nice decks
to send you....shoot, I almost forgot about slops and props (or is it props
and slops)?...
Props and Slops:
Props to anyone who actually read this unoriginal deck report
Props to my deck for going undefeated
Props to wigglytuff
Props to Scyther
Props to Wizards for actually bringing Pokemon to Japan
Props to Pojo for having the coolest Pokemon site since Pokemon.com
I don't really give out slops, but if I had to, it would go to the movie
"Magnolia".It was too weird and the title doesn't make any
sense.....you know
what I mean?
