About 30 League Members showed up

Last week at the league I noticed something: about 60% of the people at the
league play water. Raindance, Energy Denial, and Newbie Gyarados decks are
way too abundant not to notice. In my metagaming frenzy, I gave myself 4 deck
choices: AeroMew, MukLockdown, TrainerDenial Sponge, or Mono-Electric. After
some tried and true decision making methods(eeny, meeny, miny, moe), I chose
mono-electric, then added a little bit of grass for surprise and to beat
gyarados. Here's the decklist I came up with and used at the league:

3 Electabuzz
3 Scyther
3 MP Pikachu
2 Dark Raichu
3 TR Voltorb
2 Base Electrode
13 Electric Energy
3 Grass Energy
4 DCE
3 Bill
3 Oak
3 Computer Search
3 Nightly Garbage Run
4 Plus Power
3 Gust of Win
2 Narrow Gym
2 Scoop Up
1 Challenge!

I know, Scyther doesn't NEED grass energy, but trust me, it wants it. You'd
be surprised how many times you get scyther and grass energy at the same
time, and a 60 damage slash can be brutal second turn. Base Electrode is
awesome, not because of its pokémon power, but because of its attack.
Everyone in this deck can KO blastoise in one hit (some need pluspowers)
except Voltorb. Everyone in this deck can KO squirtle in one hit (some need
plus powers). The strategy is to get dark raichu as fast as you can and start
doing surprise thunder until you get KOed, then bring out 'buzz or 'trode to
clean. Now, onto the matches( I won't describe all the matches I played, just
the interseting ones, I got a lot of  first turn KOed magikarp games.):

First game: Me vs. Alec with Raindance(he, he, he)
He started with 2 squirtle(base) to my pikachu.
"Recharge"
"Bubble, tails"
"Evolve, surprise thunder"
"Crap"
"Surprise thunder, I win"

Next game: Me vs. Jake with AeroSponge
He started with with 2 electabuzz(one active) and a fossil to my
'buzz(active) and scy'. I KOed an electabuzz and did 40 to a second before
being knocked out. Then all he has was a electabuzz with 30 HP remaining and
an aerodactyl against a fully powered scyther. Guess who won.

Next game: Me vs. Andy with hand disruption colorless deck
I thought I would have the advantage since I knew his deck, and he din't
know mine. I got a turn 3 electrode and put a hurtin' on his chansey. He
scooped it, brought out clefable, and gusted my pikachu and killed it. I
double plus powered my 'trode and knocked out his clefable. I gusted out
jiggly and plus power killed it, too. He took the lead after that with some
RSAs and well timed special energies. I was on the run trying to slow down
his clefable and chansey, but he was getting free KOs from gusting out
pikachus and metronoming thunderbolt, or gusting out scyther or electabuzz
and double edging. I lost shortly due to him getting all of his prizes.

Next game: Me vs. Some Guy with classic haymaker
He got a crap hand and was just scrunching with Chansey while I pummeled
his bench with Dark Raichu. He finally powered up a 'chan and special punched
my Dark Raichu into oblivion. But by then I had an almighty bench of some
fully powered scythers and electrodes, and proceeded to KO a few poémon
before he forfeited.

Last game: Me vs. Newbie with water
I got the god hand of all god hands and got a KO a turn with electabuzz
and plus powers against some horsea, squitle, and the like.

I had a good day; I played against good competition, I got my Marsh Badge,
and made some real good trades. The only bad news of the day is that there's
only 7 more weeks of pokémon league left. I'll play a real fast deck to try
to win alot and get enough points for the rest of the badges and promos.
Probably Dark Muk, its fun and insanely fast.

I don't feel like doing Props and Slops today....
