It's been happening quite often now, that I've
been making winning decks. This one runs on mostly strategy, since it
uses more than one type. I've been 1 of the best players at the last few
visits to Toys R' Us for the Pokemon League. I've earned all the badges
except the Earth Badge, and I've almost got that one too. Well, anyway,
here's my deck.
Hyperwave 3000
4 Charmander
2 Charmeleon
2 Charizard
4 Poliwag
2 Poliwhirl
2 Poliwrath
4 Scyther
2 Tauros
2 Computer Search
4 Bill
2 Professor Oak
2 Gust Of Wind
12 Fire Energy
12 Water Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy
This deck is different from my last decks, because
it uses more than 1 type of Basic Energy. This deck is extremely
powerful, however, the basic strategy here is simply to use Poliwrath to keep
the opponent low on Energy, without having to use Energy Removals, and to use
Charizard to take on the really strong Pokemon that have high HP. In any
way, here's my Pokemon League summary.
First Battle vs Chris (Hypnotic Power
Deck)
Chris was one opponent that could usually beat me,
and he always had a different deck each week, so I could never tell what type
of deck he was using. He started out with a Drowzee against my
Charmander. I used Scratch twice and then used Ember to KO Drowzee.
He followed with another Drowzee and evolved into Hypno. He then used
Dark Mind on my Charmander (I had no benched Pokemon to attack).
Luckily, I drew a Charmeleon. Later in the game, I used Charizard to KO
2 Movie Promo Mewtwo, a Hypno, and a Kangaskhan, running him out of basics.
1-0
Second Battle vs David (Tonguemaker)
I had beaten David every time that I'd played him
so far, and this time, my deck was full of suprises. He always used his
Tonguemaker deck against me, which was easy for my deck this time. He
started with Lickitung active, and 2 Scyther on the bench. I went first
and started with 3 benched Poliwag, and a Scyther active. I used Scyther
to KO Lickitung, and 1 of his Scyther before it got KO'd itself. If
followed up with a fully loaded Poliwrath and a Charizard to take on his
Hitmonchan. I ended up winning with Charizard and Poliwrath (those two
Pokemon gave me 4 of my 6 prizes!).
2-0
I spent the rest of my time trading and battling
on Game Boy, and I sure had fun. I traded for a japanese Promo Pikachu,
and a japanese Misty's Gyarados.
Props and Slops
Props to both Chris and David for being worthy
opponents and not giving up.
No slops...I don't care to give any.
Thanks for Reading!!
