Non-modified Tournament in a Toy's R US in NY

Getting annoyed of modified losses, I decided to try my Gator deck in a standard tournament play in a TRS in NY. This was the 1st time i used my gator deck in standard,  the modified versus killed too many key cards. The store had around 20 players competing.

The strategy is to use drawing power to build up gator, block eeeeekk with suicune,  and just straight forward attack. No strong strategy, but the offense replaces that. SER is married to Gator, removing a water from a poke other than Gator, which adds 10 damage to the attack, and killin your opponents energy.
Round 1 vs. Kid with psychic deck
I pitied this kid for using such weak cards. He basically kept using the 70 hp espeon(what the^&**?) to attack, but it failed against cleffa. After i used bill to draw 2 wraths in a row, which i used, Gator wiped out his psychic fools. The only good card i saw was a igglybuff.

Round 2 vs. Slowking
Need i say much? He basically evolved 3 slowkings  early to sut down my trainers. His active was a energyless Murkrow, and i built up my Chompasaur to Gator from drawing. Then he oaked and got the dark energies he needed, and he kept supering me. Luckily, when he ran out of removals, i used misty's tears and unleashed riptide on that damn murkrow.  But late in the game I couldn't get the trainers i needed cause of King and he beat me down with a fully loaded sneasel. =/

Round 3 vs. Entei deck
I dont recall this duel much, but i do remember i built up Suicune early and mamaged to knock out a cleffa and 60hp Entei's easily.

Round 4 vs. Zappy deck
He began with a Promo Pikachu and a rockets Zappy benched(what the hell?) and i had totodile. He keeps NRG removaling me and used elms. I couldn't draw no cleffa or bills and the 1st thunderbolt killed me.
-The deck did bad, REALLY bad, and now i realized how good modified really is. I didn't make it to the finals, but i got 1 revelations pack with a holo Gyrados.
-Props-
-To modified, for giving the right for water decks everywhere to exist.
-To that Shining Gyrados I got.
-To Pojo(duh)
-To slowking decks, for dominating games everywhere.
Slops-
-To slowking, for ripping me off of a victory.
-To me, for not making the fianls (again)
-To the crappy cards (other that gyrados) i got in that pack.
-To the Giants, for not making the playoffs.
No more standard for me. I was lucky that i was never attacked by a buzz or zappy, or else whatever dignity remained in Gator would have been taken away.
