One of the new hypes... since fossil came out is
Aerodactyl. Everybody seems to want this card... holo,
non holo, prerelease, 1st edition, etc. Now some
people are quick to say he's good.. since he can
prevent evolution, and some says he sucks, cause
Scyther can kill it in one hit. But really, lets take
a CLOSER look <eerie music plays in background>...

I'm pretty sure you know Mr. Aero's stats, but if you
don't, here it is.

Aerodactyl - Stage 1 From Mysterious Fossil
Type: Fighting
HP: 60
Weakness: Grass
Resistance: Fighting -30
Retreat Cost: 2

ATTACKS: Pokemon Power: "Prehistoric Power"- No more
Evolution Cards can be played. This power stops
working while Aerodactyl is Asleep, Confused, or
Paralyzed.
[3] Wing Attack(30)

Why is he good? Because he can prevent EVOLUTION!!!
Raindance and many other decks won't be happy.
Thats why alot of people throw 'em in decks. And the
colorless attack n' Resistance from Fighting ain't bad
either.

Now, enough about the good stuff, lets get on with the
cons. First of all, he can easily be killed by
Scyther, which seems to be apprearing in EVERY deck..
but thats not the main con. His POKEMON POWER can't BE
TURNED OFF. That means if you use ANY other evolution
in you're deck, you're screwed badly. So the only deck
left now is Haymaker. Heres a new problem, if you use
this in a haymaker, its still considered a EVOLUTION!
Thats right! Aerodactyl evolves from the cheap
mysterious fossil. If you have more than one
aerodactyl in you're deck... it can turn ugly. You can
only evolve 1 aero at a time. So if you have alot of
aeros in you're hand, and 1 benched, you better not
use oak or something, which many people do use, or you
can kiss goodbye to the aeros. Then your oppent can
kill you're existing aero(not too hard), and you're
left aeroless. Another thing... you have play you're
mysterious fossil at least one turn, before evolving
into mr. dactyl. You're opponent can gust of win
easily and just destroy a fossil(okay, so that may
seem like a cheap throw in). Heres another one.. MUK.
It depends on who evolves first. If he evolves first,
you're aerodactly is pratically useless(Muk's Pokemon
Power). The one sludge attack and aero's gone. If aero
goes first. He/She is left with little grimers.

You may think I hate aerodactyl. Actually, I don't. I
just had to point out the strength's and weakness, so
before just throwing it in a deck, observe.
