Hello, Pojo and all readers of him,

I'm not going to start this off with some stupid sci-fi intro, and cut
straight to a comparison between two cards that are the same color, are the
same stage, and are used for the same purpose. After reading some older SCS's
(single card strategies), I (re)discovered an interesting article by someone
named Gary Oak about an accurate card comparison system.

You read that correctly, an accurate comparison system.

I decided to print it out, and use it to compare the two most poular stalling
Pokemon, Chansey and Lickitung. Although thbe rating for Chansey was in the
SCS already, I'll rate it anyway.

HP: 5/5   120 HP is wonderful for whatever stage.
Attacks:  4/5  Strong attack and stall abilitys, but even a Chansey doesn't
stall very well when it has 40 HP left.  Still good, though.
Retreat: 3/5 One energy is the best you can get without being free.
Speed: 3/5 Speed with a staller?<--(Bad joke) You probably won't attack with
it, but if you do, you better have some DCE.
Versitility: 3/5 Read below..
Weakness: 3/5 Even 120HP isn't going to protect it from all those Hitmon-'s
and Machamps, but only -chan is used often, though.
Resistance: 4/5 Very useful. That's it.
Color: 4/5 It can take any energy, and then DCE.
Poke-Power: None

HP: 5x4=20
Attacks: 4x6=24
Retreat: 3x3=9
Speed: 3x4=12
Versatility: 3x3=9

    20
    24
     9
    12
+    9
---------
    74

74/10=7.4

This is a suprise. Gary's rating was 7.2. And I was beginning to think I was
underrating Chansey.

Here is Lickitung. Because it has taken me very long to write this much, I
will try to make the descriptions quick.

HP: 4/5  Not like Chansey, but more than good enough.
Attacks: 4/5 I think they are better than Chansey's, but they both rely on
coin flips..hmm.
Retreat: 1/5 A clear advantage for Chansey.
Speed: 5/5 On the other hand....
Versatility: 3/5 A tie...
Weakness: 2/5 He's even worse off with lower HP.
Resistance: 4/5 Almost helps more, considering the less HP.
Color: 5/5 The reason he is ranked higher because he only uses one DCE.

HP: 4x4=16
Attacks: 4x6=24
Retreat: 3
Speed:5x4=20
Versatility: 3x4=12

16+24+3+20+12=75/10=7.5

This is a suprise. Lickitung appears to win. Have I overrated Lickitung? Have
I underrated or overrated Chansey? Or is this not an accurate system after
all?

I would probably suggest Chansey for normal Damage Swap decks. If you use a
poor man's D-Swap (with Slowbro), use Lickitung, as it would be a better
attacker and easier to get, to go with the name. Also, if you are sane enough
to use energy in your stall deck, use Lickitung to steadily do small damage
while stalling also, and Chansey to keep on stalling, then going out with a
big bang.

It has taken me around an hour to write this, so I appreciate your time to
read it. Just don't e-mail me. Write a response if you have something to say.
And Gary, feel free to write your own comparison, as I realize I might not
have written this very well. Ok?
