Miles: Well, I guess its time to review another evolution line....a line most
people think are worthless pieces of paper...........the fabuolous Tentacool
and Tentacruel!!
Lets take a glance at Tentacool:
Tentacool 30HP
Pokemon Power: Cowardice. At any time during your turn (before your
attack)you may return Tentacool to your hand (discard all cards attached to
Tentacool). This power cant be used the turn you put Tentacool into play or
if Tentacool is asleep, confused, or paralyzed.
Attack: Acid-(1water energy) 10 damage
Weakness:Lightning
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost-None
Alot of you are thinking right now "Wow, what a waste of card
stock!!!" Well,
you aren't that far off. The only real use for Tentacool is to remove 20
damage per turn in a Damage Swap deck, and even that's risky.....(I hate
starting with 3 Tentacool and no energy....) and a no-frills 10 damage attack
sucks.
But wait!!!! Tentacool EVOLVES!!!!!!! Lets take a look at
Tentacruel...........
Tentacruel .Stage 1. Evolves from Tentacool
Attacks: 1.(1 water energy) Supersonic: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending
Pokemon is now confused
2. Jellyfish Sting:(2 Water Energy) 10 damage. Makes opponent poisoned
Well, this card needs some improvement as well. A nice change would be either
damage or instant confusion for Supersonic. Jellyfish Sting is actually OK
if you are looking for poison attacks from a WATER Pokemon ( Ithink its the
only one capable of that)
So all in all, Tentacool and Tentacruel caan be somewhat efficient if you use
them properly. Try to take advantage of Cowardice, Tentacruel's status
changing ability, and their nonexistent retreat costs. They may just suprise
you....
This is Miles signing off ....
