Hi everyone, it's Adam here with another strategy for you! Today I am going
to talk about a great combo:
Brock's Ninetales + Blastoise + Charizard!!!
Here are the stats of the cards involved, thanks to their authors.
-------------------------------------------------
Brock's Vulpix
Type: Basic Fire Pokemon
LV.10 HP 40
R: Flare: 20
CC: Quick Attack: 10+
Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more
damage.
-C Retreat
W Weakness
No. 037 (Common)
-------------------------------------------------
Brock's Vulpix
Type: Basic Fire Pokemon
LV.16 HP 50
C: Stare
Effect: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
RR: Flame Ring: 20
Effect: Choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. This
attack does 10 damage to that Pokemon. (Don't apply
Weakness and Resistance.)
-C Retreat
W Weakness
No. 037 (Uncommon)
-------------------------------------------------
Brock's Ninetails
Type: Stage 1 Fire Pokemon (Evolves from Brock's Vulpix)
LV.30 HP 70
[Pokemon Power] Disguise
Effect: Once during your turn (before your attack), choose an
Evolution card in your hand, and attach it to this Pokemon.
This Pokemon becomes that Evolution, but no additional
Evolution card may be attached. Once during your turn
(before
your attack), you may discard the Evolution card attached to
this Pokemon. This Power stops working if this Pokemon
is
Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed, and all Evolution cards
attached to it must be discarded.
RR: Flare: 30
-C Retreat
W Weakness
No. 038 (Rare Hologram)
-------------------------------------------------
Name: Blastoise
Type: Stage 2 -- from Wartortle
Card #: card 2 of 102
Rarity: Rare - Holo
Color: Water
HP: 100 HP
Weakness: L
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3
Pokemon #: 9
Species: Shellfish
Level: 52
Power: "Rain Dance"
As
often as you like during your turn (before your attack),
you may
attach 1 Water Energy Card to 1 of your Water Pokemon.
(This
doesn't use up your 1 Energy card attachment for the
turn.)
This power can't be used if Blastoise is Asleep,
Confused, or Paralyzed.
Attack: [WWW] Hydro Pump (40+)
Does 40
dam. plus 10 dam. for each W attached to Blastoise
but not
used to pay for this attack (max 2 extra).
-------------------------------------------------
Name: Charizard
Type: Stage 2 -- from Charmeleon
Card #: card 4 of 102
Rarity: Rare - Holo
Color: Fire
HP: 120 HP
Weakness: W
Resistance: F -30
Retreat: 3
Species: Flame
Level: 76
Pokemon #: 6
Power: Energy Burn
As often as you like during your turn (before your attack),
you
may turn all Energy attached to Charizard into R for the rest
of the turn. This power can't be used if Charizard is Asleep,
Confused, or Paralyzed..
Attack: [RRRR] Fire Spin (100)
Discard 2 Energy cards to use this attack.
-------------------------------------------------
The strategy is to use Brock's Vulpix, evolve it into Brock's Ninetales,
then (using its power) evolve it into Blastoise. Rain Dance large amounts of
water energy onto Blastoise, then discard Blastoise and (using its power)
evolve it into Charizard. Then, use Charizard's Power to FIRE SPIN!!!
When I thought of this combo, I thought that it could become a new
archetype, like Haymaker, Rain Dance, Damage Swap etc. If anyone does make a
deck using this combo, e-mail me(my e-mail address is at the end), and tell
me what the deck is and its strategy!!!
So, here is a deck that I have invented using these cards.
Pokemon:18
4 Brock's Ninetales
4 Brock's Vulpix (Lv.16)
4 Charizard
4 Blastoise
2 Lapras
Trainers:19
2 Computer Search
2 Item Finder
3 Professor Oak
3 Energy Retrieval
3 Nightly garbage run
4 Bill
2 Gust of Wind
Energy:23
14 Water Energy
7 Fire Energy
2 Full Heal Energy
This deck is very powerful. The Lv.16 Brock's Vulpix was chosen because of
its higher HP, and Lapras is for stalling while you have a Brock's Vulpix on
your bench, or killing Mr.mime. Professor Oak is to be used when you need
energy to Rain Dance, Energy Retrieval is to get energy back, and Nightly
garbage run is to get back energy and discarded Blastoise/Charizard
(mainly). The FH Energy is to get those powers working again.
This deck is weak against Rain Dance decks and Toxic gas decks, but good
against a lot of other decks.
I have to go now.
thanks, bye.
