Hi all ya pokémaniacs!!! C. Jericho here on my view of
the Tp 10. First off, i just wanna say.... THE POJO
KICKS SERIOUS @$$!!! And now on to buisiness(excuse
my spelling):
Top 10 Basic Pokemon:
#10 Kangaskhan- Great staller and fetch is one of the
most usefull attacks that dosent do damage.Comet punch
can do between 0 - 80 damage, but it's not very
reliable.
#9 (P) Mewtwo- Good Hp and can get back lost NRG.
Second turn 40 damage.
#8 Moltres- The ultamite card to deck your opponent
with wildfire. Dive bomb is kinda risky.
#7 Lapras- High HP, cheap attack cost and the Mr Mime
killer for Raindance.
#6 Articuno- Everyone's favorite legendary bird( my
personal fav. too). water's beefiest basic has great
attacks and no weakness with a resistance to the ever
popular fighing type.
#5 Mr. Mime- Stops beatdown pokémon right in their
tracks. Good combo with Alakazam. Bad thing is that a
lot of sucky pokémon can easly kill Mr. Mime.
#4 Chansey- The best staller in the game with Scrunch
and a low retreat cost. 120 HP is the highest. Too bad
Double Edge hurts Chansey. Only use Double Edge in
kamikaze situations.
#3 Electabuzz- One of the pokémon that the Haymakers
rely on. Awesome and cheap attacks and excellent HP.
#2 Hitmonchan- The other pokémon Hymakers are based
on. Cheap attacks and ecxellent HP. Your guaranteed
one is=n every Blackout theme deck.
#1 Scyther- The King of Versetility is my #1 pokémon
because of free retreat cost and a potential to do 60
second turn damage. Excellent HP and it can fit in ay
deck because of colorless requirements.
HONORABLE MENTION:
Jigglypuff-60HP--GOOD 1 retreat cost--GOOD resistant
to psy--GOOD pound 20 damage(2 colorless)--GOOD!!
(F) Magmar- Good HP and low retreat cost. The only
fire pokémon that can poison. Very irritating
Smokescreen attack can stall for a while when your
trying to power up that arcanine or ninetales on the
bench.
Top 10 stage 1 pokémon:
#10 Dewgong- Uncommon, mini Gyrados. Seel is much
better than magikarp.
#9 Ninetales- High damaging attack that discards ony 1
fire NRG. Built in Gust Of Wind is useful.
#8 Charmeleon- Colorless requirements, great Hp and a
low retreat cost.
#7 Kadabra- Self healing and 50 danage for 2 psy and 1
colorless is cheap. 3 retreat cost and 60 HP sucks.
#6 Muk- Disruption, disrution, disruption. Descent
attack.
#5(B)Raichu- Agility is great and low retreat cost
helps. Thunder is kinda risky.
#4 Arcanine- Probably(in my opinion) the best fire
pokémon with flamethrwer and takedown. High HP helps
to withstand the 30 damage to self from takedown.
#3 Clafable- Metronome for 1 colorless NRG. Need I say
more?
#2 Wigglytuff- potential to do 70 damage for 3
colorless and good HP.
#1 Gyrados- Magikarp evoles into this powerhouse of a
pokémon. 3 water for 50 damage is really cheap, and 4
water for 40 damage and a chance of paralyzing is
devastative.
HONORABLE MENTION:
Aerodactyle- Scyther eats is up and mysterious fossil
dosent usually last for very long. pokémon power is
one of the best though.
Top 10 Stage 2 Pokémon
#10(F) Dragonite- High Hp, good attack and a good
pokémon power.
#9 Pidgeot- Good attacks and free retreat cost.
Hurricane can be devastating to a fully powered stage
2.
#8 Charizard-HE DOSENT SUCK AND HE ISNT THE BEST
EITHER!!! High retreeat cost and expensive attack,
but, Awesome Hp, 100 damage and colorless requirements
because of NRG burn.
#7 Poliwrath- good HP and a built is NRG removal, but
high retreat cost.
#6 Machamp- Suprisingly a good stall because of
Strikes back. Also, 60 damage for 3 fighting and 1
colorless with no drawbacks it pretty good.
#5 Vileplume- Can heal pokémon with its power. can do
up to 120 damage but it can get confused.
#4 Gengar- Disruptive Pokémon power with a great
attack and low retreat cost. Descent HP too.
#3Venusaur- Has one of the most usefull pokémon powers
and a good attack. OK retreat cost and excellent HP.
#2 Alakazam- With the ability too stall, 'Kazam is at
its best with Chanseys and other high Hp pokemon.
#1 Blastoise- I had a hard time deciding, Alakazam or
Blastoise but, under better evaluation, blastoise has
a bigger impact because of raindance so, Blastoise it
is!!!
HONORABLE MENTION:
I cant think on any =(
Top 10 Traniners
#10 Mr. Fugi- the only card that can consistantly put
cards back to your deck.
#9 Breeder- The name says it all!!
#8 Scoop Up- Very useful for basic pokémon. Combo with
Chancey.
#7 Plus Power- its amazing what a little more damage
can do.
#6 Itemfinder- Its kinda like a 5th Oak, Bill or any
other trainer,
#5 Gust of Wind- Bring out that opposing magikarp
before it evolves. Ths card is all abou disruption.
#4 NRG Removal & Super NRG removal- set your opponent
back a turn or 2.
#3 CPU Search- Gat ANY card from your deck.
#2 Oak- Refreshes you with a new hand to work with.
#1 Bill- 2 cards-no drawbacks. Cant ask for anything
more.
HONORABLE MENTION
Pokémon Center- Take of all the damage and NRG from
your own pokémon.
Lass & Imposter Oak- Only played for their disruptive
purposes.
And there you have it, my views of the top 10 for
every catergory.
