Ahem... I would just like to give a word of advice
to the Pojo Community... Steer clear of Trc1188's strategy Articles. Why?
Because they are nothing but bad, or illegal, strategies.
For example:
In his 2/1 Scyther article, he claims that you can
swords dance twice in a row, and then do 90 damage on turn 3. Um... can I say
no? You could swords dance turn 1, 60 damage turn 2 (with a DCE), and then 30
more damage for a total of 90 on turn 3, but thats not what hes talking
bout...
In his 2/1 Chansey Article, he gives us an
effective way to use Double Edge. He says Double edge your opponent and kill
it, then Super Potion chansey, scruch, and double edge again..... now, let me
calculate this out.... chansey has 0 damage (assuming you can get 4 energy on
him without being hurt) and double edges, for 80 damage to itself. The super
potion, brigning it down to 40 damage, and double edge again... Chansey is
still KO'd. Then whats the point of the Super Potion? A good way to waste a
card I guess!
His 2/3 article on Raticate isn't even a strategy,
it just says attach energy, super fang, and bite bite bite...
In his 2/9 article on Moltres, he says to use
Moltres + Mankey to destroy any charizards in the other persons deck, other
wise Dive Bomb using a 2 headed coin... um yeah, I dont think Charizard is
that much of a threat that you need that combo just to stop him.
In his 2/9 Artcile on Articuno, he says to use
Freeze Dry against any fire pokemon because of weakness... but Blizzard also
affects fire pokemon too.
In his 2/9 Article on Raichu, he says use
Giga-shock on water pokemon, and then to use the attack to hit benched water
pokemon too.
(Am I seeign a pattern here? "Use X pokemon
to beat this color pokemon".. not much strategy there.)
Heres one that really gets me mad... his 2/9
article on Butterfree Suggests U use butterfree, attack, then retreat to bring
in Scyther.... Um, excuse me? If you have read the rules, once you attack you
can't Retreat!!! I think people shouldnt give advice unless they know the
rules.
He also has an article on Charmeleon stating to
use Slash on any non grass/water pokemon, because those types arent resistant
to fire... um, excuse me? As far as I know there is no pokemon Resistant to
fire. And slash is a good attack, but you have to choose what attacks are best
based on the situation.
Looking back, I also see he gives other bad
advice... "Use barrier. If the other person is low on health, then use
psychic"... um, you know what? If you use barrier, the other pokemon isnt
going to get hurt. His zapados article says use thunderstorm on Water Pokemon
(?!? Havent we heard this strategy before?) he also suggests using Potions and
Superpotions when fighting Fighting type Pokemon. I think fighting those types
would be the least time of need for potions (if there ever is a need for them)
I think that Trc1188 should just kind of evualuate
his own strategies and learn the rules a little more before sharing more
advice.
