Hey Pojo and all readers,
Hello again, I am going to tell you my thoughts about a great
legendary
bird, Articuno! Articuno is a Water Type Pokemon in the Trading Card Game,
which automatically makes raindance players eager to see what abilities this
card will know. As soon as I hear about Pokemon I like, their attacks are
always fun to learn.
First, I will fill you in with Articuno's stats before I blab on any further.
Basic Pokemon
Articuno 70 HP
Water Type
WWW- Freeze Dry (Damage 30)- Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon
is
now paralyzed.
WWWW- Blizzard (Damage 50)- Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10
damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. If tails, this attack
does 10 damage to each of your own Benched Pokemon. (Don't apply Weakness
and Resistance for Benched Pokemon)
Weakness: NONE
Resistance: Fighting -30
Retreat Cost: 2 Colorless
Articuno is a great Basic since most Water Basics suffer from
low hit
points, hampering the amount of time they have to attack and/or evolve into
their higher stages. A lot of Great Water Pokemon like Blastoise and
Gyarados come form low hit point basics, meaning you need Higher HP Pkemon in
to start. I suggest you starting with either Articuno or Lapras.
Articuno's Freeze Dry is a great attack, since no POkemon has
resistance
to Water so you are guarenteed a 30 damage attack and a 50% chance to
paralyze for 3 water energies!! (Porygon's Conversion 2 is the only way to
not guarentee this) That isn't bad, especially when your Blastoise is Rain
Dancing it!
Blizzard cn get risky but promotes a theme starting to be
used heavily,
Bench Destruction. Blizzard can harm 10 damage to every Pokemon on your
opponents bench witha coin flip yielding heads. The only downside to
Blizzard is the chance for your bench POkemon to take 10 damage each. This
can leave both benches lingering so Freeze Dry as much as you can and with
good combos from other bench destructors, you can use Articuno to go in for
the kill.
Thanks for hearing me out!
