This is replying to L2K's article on Geodude.
Did you ever stop to figure how many times you actually can do more than 20
or 30 damage with Geodude? I mean, I have seen people flip all tails on
Kangaskhan's comet punch. If you flip tails ONCE it's all over!! My
friend
plays with Geodude (he doesn't think he's too cool though) and he has never
done more than 10 damage with him.
Here's the percentage chance for each amount of damage with him (verified by
my mom, who went to college)
10 damage-50%
20-25%
30-12.5%
40-6.25%
50-3.12%
60-1.56%
70-0.78%
80-0.39%
90-0.19%
100-0.09%
110-0.04%
120-0.02%
<editor's note: Harder than that - Charizard
is fight resistant -Scott>
So there you go. Your chances of killing a Charizard is 0.02 %. This
figures out to 1 in 5,000!! That is NOT "easily KO'ing a
Charizard" in fact
you only have a 1 in 2 chance of doing any damage at all!
Many Pokemon do 20 or 30 damage for 2 energy ie.
Hitmonchan 1 energy for 20,
Jigglypuff 20 damage for 2 energy,
or even Eevee which does 10 or 30 damage for 2 energy
