this is a short, hopefully helpful comparison on the two trainers that allow
you to save that nearly-fainted pokemon. please post this under card
comparisons, in single card strategies setction.
MR. FUJI
SCOOP UP
which is better?
alright, many people use one of these cards in their deck, if not both. they
are helpful in getting one of your pokemon out of battle, allowing it to
regain full hp. this is what each trainer does:
SCOOP UP: Choose one of your own Pokemon in play and return its Basic Pokemon
card to your hand. (Discard all cards attached to that card.)
MR. FUJI: Choose a Pokemon on your Bench. Shuffle it and any cards attached
to it into your deck.
There are two main differences here. One allows you to keep one of the
pokemon itself, and discard all cards attached; the other allows you to
shuffle the card into your library along with all cards attached. Also, Mr.
Fuji works just with benched Pokemon.
I prefer Scoop Up. It is easier to use, because you can "scoop up"
your
active Pokemon, not just benched. You retain that Pokemon instead of sending
it back to your deck, allowing you to put it right back out again. However,
you have to discard energy, and if it isn't a basic, discard all evolution.
Mr. Fuji is nice, allowing you to put everything back to your deck. However,
he only works with benched Pokemon, and you may not get the Pokemon back at
all. Scoop Up is rare, while Mr. Fuji is uncommon, making it easier to get
ahold of. Both are useful cards, and each is better in different situations,
but I think Scoop Up will work to your greatest advantage.
