Hi Pojo!! Please post this single card strategy.
I would like to explain to you just how good the fossil zapdos is. To
begin with, I will tell you his stats:
Basic Pokemon
Zapdos 80 HP
Thunderstorm: 40
4 lightning energies required
For each of your opponent's benched pokemon, flip a coin. If heads,
this attack does 20 damage to that pokemon.(Don't apply weakness and
resistance for benched pokemon.) Then, Zapdos does 10 damage times the
# of tails to itself.
Weakness: Resistance: Fighting -30 Retreat Cost: 2
Most people don't realize this, but this zapdos can be a MAJOR pokemon
in an electric deck. Let's look at the good side of this card.
First,
Zapdos is a basic pokemon. No time wasted evolving!! Next, Zapdos has a
high 80 HP which is cool for a basic pokemon. Also, Zapdos'
Thunderstorm attack does 40 damage on turn 1(only if you power him up on
your bench first). Thunderstorm also has the ability to dish out a
whopping 100 total damage to a full bench(if you get 5 lucky coin
flips). Another really good aspect of Zapdos is it's fighting
resistance and no weakness.
Finally, in my opinion, this fossil Zapdos is just as good, if not
better than the basic zapdos. First, they both require 4 electric
energies for one of their moves(fossil zapdos' only move). The fossil
zapdos does 40 damage on turn 1 if you power it up on the bench early.
The basic zapdos has 2 moves, thunder(3 electric, 1 colorless, 60
damage) and thunderbolt(4 electric energies, 100 damage, discard all
energies attached). Basic zapdos has 10 more HP but a higher retreat
cost. The last thing that is better about the fossil Zapdos is the fact
that you don't discard any energies after using thunderstorm so that
means you can keep using thunderstorm until the defending pokemon faints
or they use energy removal.
Thanks Pojo!!
