All right, this is in response to the article posted
by Satoshi.
I agree Scyther is better than Charmeleon in many
ways, BUT. BUT do NOT overlook Charmeleon's power,
especially when used in CONJUNCTION with Scyther.
They make a great combo, along with Buzz, but I'll
save that for a deck submission sometime.
Anyways, Scyther is good and fast to get out quickly
and start wreaking havoc against opponents while you
plop down Charmander and 'Meleon and start pumpin them
with energies. Once Scyther has laid a sufficient
beatdown and you feel the Lizard is ready to go, just
hook the Bug back and let the Flamethrower take over.
50 damage a pop is great, even though you have to
discard one energy. And if they have a 60 hp pokemon
and you are lacking in the +Power department, well
give em some more Bug by using Charmeleon's Slash
attack.
And, with a retreat cost of one, you can retreat him
in an instant if you get in over your head.
I can never decide which I like better so I just use
both and so far, it's worked great. Even my sister
can beat me with by using my ScyCharCombo deck no
matter what I use against it, it's that powerful.
Just wanted to clarify a few smidgets of info here ;)
