Hey everyone, today I'm doing my first top ten list(so please post it).
It's
a fairly unique(and kind of long) one since I haven't seen any others like
it. It has the 5 best attacks for their cost and the 10 worst attacks for
their cost.
Worst 10 attacks for their cost:
10. Victreebel's Acid. cost-GG
Two colored energy for 20 is bad, and a coin flip for preventing retreat
doesn't make up for it.
9. Ericka's Tangela's Growing Vine. cost-GGC effect-Choose an
opponent's
benched pokemon and do 20 damage to it(dont apply weakness or resistance)
This pokemon has only 60 HP, yet it requires 3 turns to power up for this
attack. It's other attack does 10 for G(no effect). Hitmonlee has
this
attack, but for a critical energy cheaper.
8. Rhydon's Ram. cost-FFFF
compared to Hitmonlee and Gyarados, he adds a F energy and 20 damage to
himself. He only gains a switch of opponent's pokemon(of the opponent's
choice). For 4 colored energy, this attack simply won't cut it.
7. Brock's Onix's Rock Throw. cost-FFC
This does 30 damage with no effect. Kadabra and Dewgong do 50 for 2 colors
and a colorless, yet less pokemon are resistant to them. 20 more damage
for
virtually the same cost! Graveler and Hiymonchan can at least get by
resistance. Magneton, for 2 colors and 1 C, can flip a coin for paralysis.
This onix has a bad and expensive attack.
6. Sabrina's Haunter's Attack from the Shadows. cost-PPP
3 colored energy for a coin flip? If heads, it does 30 to a benched pokemon
of the opponent. Blaine's Charizard costs 2 R and might do 40 to a benched
poke. Hitmonlee costs an energy less, does 10 less, but doesn't require
that
coin flip.
5. Drowzee, Vulpix and Lapras's Confuse Ray. cost-PP,RR,WW;
respectively
Yuck ! 2 energies for 10 damage and a flip for confusion ? Not good
at all,
considering 2 of the poke's have 50 HP.
4. Paras and Parasect's Spore. cost-GG
This is bad, 2 colored energy for auto sleep. Jiggly and Wiggly do auto
sleep for 1 colorless ! Haunter does it for 1 colored energy.
3. Promo Pikachu's Thunderbolt. cost-LLL
This attack does 50 damage and discards all attached energy to this poke.
Geez !
Base Zapdos has this attack; it costs 1 more L but it does 50 more damage for
that L energy ! And look at all the pokes that do 50 for 3 with no
discarding (Gyarados, Hitmonlee, Erika's Victreebel).
2. Base Ghastly's Sleeping Gas. cost-P
1 colored energy for 3 coin flips if you plan to use dream eater? Yuck, he
needs 2 flips in your turn, the one in the opponent's turn. No wonder no
one
uses him.
1. Lt. Surge's Magneton's Mega Shock. cost-LLLC
This does fifty damage and you flip a coin to see if Magneton get 20 damage
on himself. Geeez!!!!!! 3 L energy and 1 C for 50 is bad
enough, but then
throw in the coin flip for a possible 20 to yurself and we've got a bad
attack. Electrode has 1 less energy required, and a possible 10 damage to
himself. Look at him against Gyrados, Hitmonlee, and Erika's Victreebel
Add one colorless energy and get this:
flip a coin if tails, do 20 damage to Lt.'s Magneton. Lousy, huh ?
Now for the five best attacks for their cost.
5. Dark Muk's Sludge Punch. cost-GG
Some poke's cost 3 for 20 and auto poison, but this guy doesnt. On turn 2
he
gets 20 and auto poison. The opponent will prbably want to retreat, but he
has a pokepowerthat works well in conjunction w/his attack. Quick damage
and
poison can be devastating.
4. Sabrina's Venomoth's Hallucination Wave. cost-P
this attack does 10 and you flip 2 coins, if at least one is heads, the
defender is confused. Wow! cheaper than Drowzee and you get more flips for
the confusion. This is one nice attack.
3. Blaine's Ninetails' Scorch. cost-RR
2 fires for 50 damage is unreal ! You flip a coin and on tails discard all
those energy, but 2 turns later you can Scorch again. Few basics will be
able to withstand power of this speed.
2. Dark Jolteon's Lightning Flash. cost-L
No it's not # 1 and you'll see why. But still, 20 for 1 energy is great,
but
you add in the smokescreen effect. This card can really kill raindance
early
on.
1.Clefable's Metronome. cost-C
Use any of the opponent's attacks for one of any energy card without the
downsides.
Now that is an amazing attack. It desroy's Fire decks and it works good on
almost any pokemon. Metronome is the reason I think Clefable is the best
card in the game.
That's my opinions, I'm certain all of you disagree with something but that's
all right.
