Proffesor Utsugi:(Personal Rating:4.5)

Spy Tactics is a wonderful card. Not only do you get to
draw cards, you
get to look at your opponent's hand. It's a very nice strategy to look at
your opponent's hand and then decide if you need more cards to give yourself
an even higher advantage. You decide on how many cards to discard and keep
for yourself. The bad thing is if you don't have as many cards in your
hand
that you'd like, you won't be able to get that number of cards.
If you decide to include this card, I would tell you to run
about two of
these and two proffesor oaks for a great combo. You can use spy tactics if
you have an oak in your hand, then if you'd like, use an Oak to get to the
cards you really need.
Gambler is a very difficult card to rate. In my
opinion, it's the worse
card I've listed up above. It does save you from decking sometimes, but
it's
not as effective as the other cards. It also makes the odds of getting the
card you need even worse, because your shuffling in cards you don't really
need, not mentioning flipping a tails. It's very good in a stall deck,
nonetheless. If you have to run this card, I would tell you that 1
or 2 and
a few Oaks would be perfect.
Proffesor Oak is definetly my favorite card drawing advantage
card.
Discard your bad hand, and draw 7 fresh new ones. Helps you get through
your
deck faster then any other card unless you have stuffed your hand with cards
and use spy tactics. Proffesor Oak helps many decks such as Raindance and
Tuff decks, oh and I forgot to mention Haymaker. Raindance needs energy,
and
oak helps get it. In tuff decks, it helps get pluspowers and pokemon.
In
Haymaker, it has to go fast. I love this card. Running about 3-4 is
my
recommendation. You can combo this card with about any card I've listed
above.
Proffesor Utsugi is going to take a while to come over to
America, but
still, very nice. You won't lose much deck size, and you could gain the
possiblity of actually gaining deck size. It doesn't get you cards you
need
faster, but at least the risk of decking is smaller. Some decks might not
enjoy this card as much as others, such as Tuff decks, because of the usage
of Trainers. O well, this card is still GREAT.
