Here is a great strategy for stall decks:
Mr. mime has the invisible wall pokemon power that says whenever 30 or more
damage is done to him, prevent it. And the steel energy says it reduces
damage by 10 for each steel energy on the pokemon that is being attacked.
For those cards that try to get in there and inflict 10 or 20 damage per turn
to get around Mr. Mime's pokemon power, attach 2 steel energy to MR. Mime.
Put 4 in your deck and use computer searches if you really need to get them.
Another way to get more energy of steel for your deck is to use Electrode's
buzzap. People say you can't do that because it's not a basic energy, but
the power says "choose a type of energy," not "choose a basic
type of energy"
so you can automatically have 2 steel energy on MR. mime without having to
draw one or use a computer search.
(Nightly garbage run and recycle are good for getting steels out of your
discard pile if you needed to discard one or it was taken away by energy
removal)
