Here is an sweet strategy for Kabutops:

Try to use a Kabutops against a weak pokemon as a type of a decoy. In a
battle situation, when you are about to face a series of weak pokemon, hve a
Kabutops lined up for major beat down. Although his HP stinks like rotten
cheese, his absorb attack is one of the best attacks in the game. While
facing a barage of weak pokemon that do about 10-30 damage a turn, keep
doing absorb and your opponent will be doing about no damage to you while
your doing 40 damage and recovering you self. This strategy does not work
for a pokemon that does 30 damage, but even if it does, you will still be
able to live for 6 turns while you charge up another Kabutops, Hitmonchan,
or Machamp in the back. But still, i don't think any pokemon can live for 6
turns of 40 damage Absorb each, that's 240 damage all together. Kabutops
will prevail against all pokemon that do less than 30 damage. If you have
