Here are my views on some good basic cards that I believe do a very good job
of getting rid of the popular cards.

Hitmonchan.......
TR Drowzee- OK HP Nightmare will do 20 and sleep
TR Abra- WIll Do 20 Each turn with 50/50 Paralysis and has the ability to
teleport away if HP isn't high
TR Oddish- Poison Hitmo for 1 G, Sleep Hitmo, Retreat Oddish
The Entire Fossil Ghost Line

Electabuzz......
Diglet- Will take electabuzz at least 3 turns to kill  with lucky coin
flips(without plus power) and can take care of Electabuzz in two turns at the
most

Scyther........
Charmander- 50 HP will stand for 1 Slash, 20 to Scyther on first, 60 on
second (KOed Scyther who had a small chance of doing 60 if he went first...)

Charizard......
Clefable- by the time Charizard is evolved and ready Clefable could easily
have one energy on it and have done enough damage to kill Charizard with its
own Fire Spin

Blastoise........
Movie Pikachu- 1st turn lay an energy and recharge for one more, 2nd turn lay
an energy and DEAD BLASTOISE

Venusaur......
Magmar (either one)- The first Magmar will kill it in one shot after 3 turns,
the fossil will take at the most three turns, but poison is a good chance so
probably less

Mr. Mime........
Rattata- 30 HP sucks but Mime cant do any damage to it (Rattata would only
take damage with 30 damage due to resistance, so it would already be
KOed)Rattata will take it out in 2 turns with one colorless energy

Alakazam........
Movie Mewtwo- Energy Absorb and Psyburn, easy as that

Chansey.......
Diglett/TR Mankey
By Turn 2 Diglett can do 60 Damage and Mankey from 40-80 meaning a three turn
KO for Diglett and at least a 4-turn from Mankey, and if Chansey goes
kamikaze? Who cares...Dig and Mankey are Basics with low HP and only 2 energy
on them

Muk.......
Lapras- High HP in case of Poison, no PKMN Power, Low but strong attacks, one
which confuses, getting rid of Muk's Power
Jynx- High HP in case of Poison, no PKMN Power, can do 0-20-40 Damage on
first turn. THen 0-20-40 on next resulting in 0-20-40-60-80. Next turn We'll
probably have a Koed Muk.
