ELECTRIC POKEMON 101
This is my first time posting here, so forgive me if I made a mistake.
Let me just say that I LOVE electric pokèmon. From the great ELECTABUZZ to
the cutie PIKACHU they're all irresistable. It's hard for me to not include
electric pokemon in my decks. Anyway, here I am in my first electric pokemon
strategy: Team Rocket Voltorb.
Basic Pokemon
Voltorb 40 HP
E Speed Ball 20
Weakness: Fighting
Resistance: None
Retreat Cost: Colorless
Rarity: Common
This card is no more different than the Base Set Voltorb except for the 20
damage. I've been wanting to use the Jungle Electrode for my Bench
Destruction Deck, but the lack of strong Voltorbs out there irritates me.
This card is not really strong because of it's low HP. But it deals 10 more
damage. Is that good? It is good against weaker Squirtles in Raindance decks.
However, it's a piece of cake for Hitmonchan and Machop.
My suggestion: It's good to play TR Voltorb as your active pokemon when
battling against Raindance decks, but when up against Haymakers, keep this
Voltorb away from the active play area unless you really really really need
to use that Electrode. I really hate Basic Pokemon with 40 HP or less (50 is
okay). But that 20 damage for one electric energy? It's tempting. If you
battle a lot of Haymakers, don't let that 20 damage fool you. It's hard to
win. If you battle a lot of Raindance, think of a good use with this Voltorb
first then try it out. Remember that Voltorbs can evolve from 40 HP to 80 or
90 HP. If it doesn't evolve, it certainly is no good against that Blastoise,
but with a little trainer called PlusPower, you could easily ZAP those basic
water pokemon!
Hope I helped.
Coming up next time: TR Magnemite!
Stay tuned for more electric pokemon strategies!
