Lately, I have been using 2 wigglytuff in my deck,
and I have come to believe that wigglytuff is perhaps one of the most powerful
cards in the game.
For one thing...
Wigglytuff has a powerful pre-evolution, jiggly
puff
JigglyPuff
60 Hp
C Lullaby
The defending pokemon
is now asleep.
CC Pound
20
Weakness:Fighting
Resistance:Psychic
Retreat:C
Ok, now jiggly is obviously a strong basic.
He can do either attack on turn one (if you get a double colorless), and he
has high hp (even though he's not in the popular group with scyther and
hitmonchan). Jigglypuff has the common weakness/resistance of colorless,
and low retreat cost. He, actually is not a bad basic. But the
great thing about this evolution is that they have step-up attacks.
Wigglytuff
80
C Lullaby
The defending pokemon
is now asleep
CC Do the Wave
10+
C For each pokemon
on
your
bench, this attack does
10 more
damage.
Now, eighty hp is pretty high. And being
colorless he goes in any deck. And although he does need basics to do
damage, what deck doesn't use basics? He is awesome. Jigglypuff
can do either attack on the first turn, and then add 1 (or two) energy and
evolve. I play wiggly, and you will find that he is one hard guy to take
out. He also has the advantage of only being a stage one. You
should definitely try out this evolution. He can take numerous hits from
some of the most popular cards, works well with super potion, plus power, and
Challenge!. There are many trainers that compliment him, and would work
well with him. Any trainer that get's you basics will work. Also,
wigglytuff works in any speed deck. Because he is colorless, one DCE and
an energy will pump him up, and he can do good damage. But other heavy
hitters like machamp, Nidoking, and Pinsir have fallen out of tournament play
because they need specific energy (usually 4, and 3 of them are elemental).
I am sure that if you play wigglytuff you will fall in love with him.
