King Cobra: Today's article is on Fossil Zapdos with King Cobra providing the
facts, Arbok providing the Sarcastic comments, and Raichu providing the soda.
Grab a Pepsi, and we'll get started.
King Cobra: First, we'll look at Fossil Zapdos's stats. Raichu, please
present the card.
Zapdos
Type: Lightning
HP: 80 (10 less than
the Base Zapdos)
Weakness: none
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat: 2 (1 less than the Base Zapdos)
Attack: LLLL Thunderstorm (40)
For
each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon, flip a coin. If
heads,
this attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon. (Don't apply
Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.) Then, Zapdos does
10
damage
times the number of tails to itself.
What We Think
Arbok: This guy is nice in my opinion. Possible 20 damage to each benched
Pokemon, sometimes 10 damage to Zapdos. I usually hit myself with 10 damage
or so every few turns, but with Base Zapdos, one unlucky coin flip equals 30
damage. Use it a few times and you get 2 prizes a turn.
Raichu: With the Fighting resistance, this goes well in a mono-electric deck
that has a large fighting weakness problem.
King Cobra: Overall, I like this guy more because he can hurt the bench, and
bench destruction is my favorite strategy personally. Still, I use a Base
Zapdos or 2 later in the game for mass destruction.
