Hey-
So most of u out there right away say..."gloom go home."
So i am gonna
try to tell ya that gloom isn't that bad after all! Okay, for all of u out
there that don't know what he does, here the scoop on him:
Gloom; stage one grass pokemon
Hp- 60
Weakness Fire
Retreat 1 colorless
Attacks-
~Poison Powder, 1 grass; the defending pokémon is now poisoned
~Fowl Oder, 2 grass; 20 damage and both the defending pokémon and Gloom are
now confused
Alright, so let take a look at this guy or girl......not the greatest stage 1
pokémon but an okay atttacker. In most cases u have ur oddish pumped and
ready to go before u evolve. Once evolved w/ only 1 grass the pokemon can
poison...how great it that! So, then u can switch for another pokémon to
finish or even stay out there and watch the pokemon die! Or instead the next
turn u can confuse the both of u....yes I know that confuse is bad...but hey,
u both can't attack and the defending pokémon is posioned still! hey.....the
next turn your only hope is to have A) Switch B) item finder for full heal C)
pokémon trader to get a Vilemplume D) Comp search for ur Vileplume...or E)
draw a vileplume F) full heal
This is a vast amount of things that u can do. U can evolve or heal and
retreat or attack again! Gloom is a cheap form of Venomoth. With one
less
Hp and cheap attacks, he/she can posion and confuse, (in two turns) but no
coin flipping involved!!! thats a MAJOR PLUS.....so the next time that u see
a gloom, think....
is this a good pokémon for me? do i like to posion cheap and to confuse
without a flip of a coin?
Downsides-
weakness to fire...yikes HATE THAT
lack of Hp!
and 1 retreat..not bads though
Maybe have a Venomoth and a gloom partnership...
Well, good luck and give gloom a second chance!
-Mr Jelly
p.s- vileplume isn't that good as it confuses itself, however, why attack
with it when u can use its pokemon power from the bench?
