(You see an abandoned city street. Everything looks desolate. Then suddenly, a black vortex appears and two figures in dark trenchcoats appear. One is human, one isn't.)
Mewtwo: Why are we doing this?
Whether Man: It's becoming a trend to make a Matrix-style entrance. Hello everybody. This is the Whether Man. I'm here with Mewtwo to talk about the new  Nintendo Power Mewtwo.
Mewtwo: Which you've probably figured out already provided you read the title.
Whether Man:  Let's analyze the card. Hey Mewtwo, do that card trick again.
Mewtwo: (sighs) Fine.
(Mewtwo promo comes out of nowhere and flies at high speed toward Mewtwo's hand. Mewtwo grabs it.)
Whether Man: This is the same Mewtwo promo as in the Best Collection CD from Japan.
Mewtwo: I'm sure no one cares. What does matter is that the card is good. It may not be super broken, like the movie promo Mewtwo, but it is good.
Whether Man: Let's look at it, shall we?
                                                      Mewtwo       HP: 60
                                                        P: Energy Control
Flip a coin. If heads, choose one energy attached one of your opponent's pokemon and attach it to another one of your opponent's pokemon of your choice.
                                                      PPP: Telekinesis
Deal 30 damage to any of your opponent's pokemon in play regardless of weakness or resistance. Any other effects are received as is.
Weakness: Psychic       Resistance: None     Retreat: 2

Whether Man: Energy Control is a below average attack. However Telekinesis is pretty good. Interesting combo with Gengar or Mime.
Mewtwo: Also Energy Control may actually be of use in the early game. Although moving energy around doesn't help much in the late game, it's pretty useful to stall by taking energy away from that possible killer and moving it to a weakling. Then use Telekinesis to blow that sucker away!
Whether Man: 3 energy may seem high for 30 damage, but given the fact that Psychic is resisted in almost every deck via colorless, the attack gives you the ability to attack any pokemon you want, and the introduction of Evil pokemon that also resist psychic (even though their release in America is way too far in the future to even be a threat), it is good enough.
Mewtwo: This card's good, but doesn't quite make it to Promo Mewtwo level. I see this card as a metagaming tool in case of colorless and only having one copy put in due to limited usage.
Whether Man: Sounds about right. 60 HP is okay for a basic, but it hurts it in the late game when the high evolved guys are out. Definitely not a canidate for Haymaker. I see this guy used in Mono-Psy decks with bench damage themes and, as you said, a metagaming tool.
Mewtwo: I just wish they kept the Best Collection CD artwork. That card has so much of a cooler look than the Nintendo Power one.
Whether Man: Yeah, somehow I just don't think the forest background works for you.
(A pager starts beeping. Whether Man turns it off.)
Whether Man: Time to go.
(The black vortex appears again and Mewtwo and Whether Man dissappear into the void. All you can hear is faint laughter.)
Mewtwo: Stop laughing you idiot!
Whether Man: Sorry
(Laughter instantly stops)
