Hey Pojo! Could you post this on your site? Thanks!
I just recieved the Nintendo Power Promo Mewtwo card,
American Promo
number 12. This card is terrible! All it has to boast is a measly 60 HP, a
two retreat cost, and two attacks that won't be much use.
1 Psychic Energy = Energy Control: Flip a coin. If heads, choose a basic
Energy card attached to 1 of your opponent's Pokemon and attch it to another
of your opponent's Pokemon.
3 Psychic Energy = Telekinesis: Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokemon. This
attack does 30 damage to that Pokemon. Don't apply Weakness and Resistance
for this attack. (Any other effects that would happen after applying Weakness
and Resistance still happen.)
Now, the only use I see for Energy Control is against a Rain
Dance deck.
You can transfer enrgy off of a Blastoise, Gyarados, or Articuno, and dump
them on a Pokemon you are planning to knock out soon. Telekinesis could be
used if you were planning to do this, because you dump energy on a benched,
weak Pokemon, and then attack, and it soon will be knocked out, making your
opponent lose all of those energy.
The only deck that could (or would) use Mewtwo solely for
Telekinesis, or
for both attacks combined is a Damage Swap, to keep those counters off
Mewtwo, or ann idea that I came up with, a bench and active hitter. This deck
includes Gengar and Hypno. Hypno for Dark Mind, and Gengar for both attacks.
Curse 10 damage to a benched Pokemon, then use Dark Mind to do 30 to the
active, and another 10 to a benched, resulting in 20 damage total to a
Benched Pokemon. Hey, that's an idea! Tlak to you later Pojo, I'm gonna work
on my deck...
