Hi Pojo. Please post this in single card strategies, under card combos.

About 3 1/2 months ago, just a few weeks before I would get my first issue of
the glorious Pojo, I was still reading Beckett Pokemon Collector. The issue
had translations of the Gym2 set, that, although they were before Pojo's in
the April issue, were not very good. I did come across a trainer card that
was interesting (and made sense.) It is called Invisible Wall. I now have the
card, but since it's unreadable, here is a translation (from Pojo, not
Beckett.)

Invisible Wall
Type:  Trainer
Effect:  Until the end of your opponent's next turn, prevent all
damage done to your Benched Pokemon by attacks.  (Other effects
of attacks are received as is.)
Picture:  A Weezing partially hidden by an invisible wall.
No number (Common)

Magnemite from Base Set has the Selfdestruct attack, which, for two energy,
does 40 damage and 10 to each of your opponent's benched Pokemon. The
downside is that the same thing happens to you. Then I saw Defender, which
prevents 20 damage.  I thought of a great combo  with the three:

Attach two Defenders to Magnemite, then use Invisible Wall on the bench. For
your attack, use Selfdestruct. This way, the Defenders will keep Magnemite
intact, and the Wall will keep your bench intact, for a 40 damage+10 bench
damage attack with two energy and zero drawback! In Fact, this combo can be
used with any Selfdestructing Pokemon-- I just chose Magnemite because he
uses the fewest Defenders :-).

That's all. Thanks Pojo for Being such a great site!

Me
