I have a sweet raindance strategy. This may not fit with the subject
right now, but keep reading. As we all know, Gym Leaders 1 is the next
due expansion. Many of the Misty's pokemon will inevitably show up in
raindance. We'll be seeing energy removal raindance, status effect
raindance, and many more. But in my opinion, one of the best is the
gyarados, As we all know, magikarp will, even in gymleaders, be one of
the worst cards ever, and gyarados one of the best. Here's Gyarados'
Stats.
Misty's Gyarados
Type: Stage 1 Water Pokemon (Evolves from Misty's Magikarp)
LV.42 HP 100
[Pokemon Power] Defiance
Effect: Whenever this Pokemon attacks, flip 2 coins. If
both are tails, that attack does nothing, and shuffle this
cards and all cards attached to it into your deck. This
Power works even if this Pokemon is Confused.
WWWW: Hydro Crash: 70
-CCC Retreat
G Weakness
F Resistance (Damage -30)
No. 130 (Rare Hologram)
note:gym leaders pokemon can only evolve from and to their matching
evolutions in gym leaders, this is similar to rocket, except the basic
pokemons names weren't different.
Now, This is one of the best cards, as good as, or better than dark
blastoise. 70 damage for WWWW is very good.
And since raindace have a problem with mime decks, but they can't use
muk, the goop gas attack trainer should be used after raindancing all
your water energies. but, unless you want a 25% chance of gyarados going
back to where it came frome, the trainer serves another purpose, to stop
his power. So I bet you now can't wait until gym leaders to try out this
combo? Go gettem!

P.S. If any one cares, The Rocket Magikarp is the best, especially with
Base Set gyarados, waterfall evolution is always good.
