Hey pojo! I just wanted to do a few strategies for Neo
Promos. I'll start
with the first 9 Neo Pokemon. You can get these in the Neo Promotional card
file. Heck, I got mine on eBay for 10 bucks!
The first will be the Chikoriita family.
Chikoriita
Type: Basic Grass Pokemon
"Leaf Pokemon"
LV. 19, HP 50
(C): Growl
Effect: If the Defending Pokemon attacks this Pokemon during
your opponent's next turn, any damage done by that attack
is reduced by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
(Benching either Pokemon ends this effect.)
(GC): Razor Leaf: 20
-C Retreat
R Weakness
(No) Resistance
No. 152 (Promotional Card)
Well, compared to the regular Neo set, it's better, but not
by very much.
Extra HP and Razor Leaf helps, but Growl? Come on! It would've been better
with Razor Leaf and Reflect. Oh well.
But let's move on, shall we?
Beiriifu
Type: Stage 1 Grass Pokemon (Evolves from Chikoriita)
"Leaf Pokemon"
LV.33, HP 70
(GC): Poisonpowder: 20
Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now
Poisoned.
(GGC): Mystery Powder: 30
Effect: This Pokemon cannot be Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed
or Poisoned during your opponent's next turn.
-CC Retreat
R Weakness
(No) Resistance
No. 153 (Promotional Card)
Not bad. Not bad at all. Although it has 10 less HP than the
regular, its
attacks make up for it. Poisonpowder is more solid than sweet scent (a
damaging attack!),and has a status effect. But I guess it's up to you. The
secondary attacks, however, are different. I don't really know what to say.
Mystery powder is good when fighting against another grass deck, but Double
Razor Leaf does either 0, 40, or 80 damage. I'd personally prefer Mystery
Powder, but if you're a good coin flipper, then use Dbl. Razor leaf.
Next is:
Meganiumu
Type: Stage 2 Grass Pokemon (Evolves from Beiriifu)
"Herb Pokemon"
LV. 54, HP 100
[Pokemon Power] Scent of Herbs
Effect: This Power is used once when this Pokemon is put into
play. Flip a coin. If heads, remove all damage
counters
from each G Pokemon in play. (This includes your
opponent's
Pokemon.)
(GGCC): Body Slam: 40
Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now
Paralyzed.
-CCC Retreat
R Weakness
(No) Resistance
No. 154 (Promotional Card)
Well, I'd pick the regular over the Promotional. The regular
lets you cut
down on G energy, and does 40 damage plus sleep. Scent of Herbs is risky, and
Body Slam requires a coin flip. If you want to make your grass deck faster,
I'd use the original.
Overall: I'd give the family a general rating of 7 - 9.
Chikoriita = 8.5 . Better than the regular.
Beiriifu =? As I said, this is up to you. But I would say around 9.
Meganiumu = 7.I first saw the regular card translations, then this Promo one.
I was let down..........
(All translations are from Edo.)
