Dear Pojo,
Today's Pokemon of the day is Gengar, a ghostly stage2 with solid hit
points, cool power, and low retreat cost, let's take a look at this card...
HP:80
Pokemon Power:Curse, once during your turn(before you attack) you may move
1
damage counter from 1 Pokemon to another, even if that would knock out the
other Pokemon.
(PPP)Dark Mind:30, if your opponent has any benched Pokemon choose one of
them and this attack does 10 damage to it.
No weakness
Resistance:Fighting
Retreat cost:1
The main strategy with Gengar is to use a Pokemon like Hitmonlee, Golem,
Magneton,Dark Arbok or Weezing, make sure at least 3 of your opponent's
benched Pokemon have at least 10 damage on it, then send Gengar, first, seeing
how you do not have the energy for Dark Mind attack your opponent's bench by
using Curse, which unfortunatly can be used only once during your turn. If
during your opponent's next turn Gegar takes damage use potion to wipe some
off, then attach a PSY energy to Gengar before using Curse again. Next turn
wipe damage off Gengar and use Curse, add 10 damage to your opponent's bench
and 30 to the defending Pokemon by using Dark Mind, as this point yoyu are
unstoppable use curse and Dark Mind so you can tear apart your opponent's
bench with cuse and damage the defending Pokemon with Dark Mind, this is
great for Pokemon with high hit points, let's say you do 10 damage to each
Pokemon on your opponent's bench, let's say there is a Koffing, Grimer,
Gloom,Blastoise, AND Growlithe, as Gengar move 1 damage counter from either
Koffing, Grimer, Growlithe or Gloom and put it onto Blastoise, do this each
turn and use Dark Mind on top of that, eventually you won't have to worry
about Blastoise anymore. Gengar is not the master at doing damage to the
defending Pokemon but it is to the bench so add Gengar to a psycic deck, it's
just not a PSY deck without him.
