Hi, its your favorite reptilian Pokemon trainer here, with his annoying Arbok
and article on the new Team Rocket Gyarados. I don't own this card yet, so
don't get ticked if I mess up somewhere.

Arbok- Who you calling annoying? Don't make me use my Glare on you.

Oh, just zip it, Arbok!

Dark Gyarados
Type- Water (duh)
Hp- 70 (ick, but most Team Rocket cards are like this)
Weakness- Grass (same as the base Gyarados)
Resistance- Fighting (cool!)
Retreat Cost- 2 colorless (not as bad as the base Gyarados)
Pokemon Power- Final Beam
When Dark Gyarados is Knocked Out by an attack, flip a coin. If heads, this
power does for each water energy attached to Dark Gyarados to the Pokemon
that Knocked out Dark Gyarados. Apply weakness and resistance. This power
doesn't work if Dark Gyarados is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.

What I think
Well, this a last resort tactic. Don't make this an integral part of your
strategy as it doesn't always work. Still, a nice parting gift if it succeeds.

Attack
Ice Beam for 3 Water Energy
Damage- 30
Flip a coin. If heads, the defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

What I think
Basic attack for most water guys. Its the same as Articuno's Freeze Dry, but
I don't really like it as you need an evolution to get it and he is
vulnerable to the Amnesia attack. On the upside, it is less expensive than
the Base Gyarados's Bubblebeam and only does 10 less damage.

Overall, I think the Base Gyarados is better. The Pokemon Power isn't really,
really great, and Ice Beam isn't the best move either. I personally use that
type of move with my Articuno to set up a Blizzard on the next turn, thus
doing 70 damage, possible bench damage and possible Paralysis. But alas, this
guy has no second attack. Oh well.....I would stick with the Base Gyarados
myself, but its really a matter of personal preference.

Arbok- NOOO! Not the super lame Word of the Day and death threat thing again?

and whipped my friends!
