Many times people have used the point system, and a greater amount have
bashed it, me being among them. But do the people who bash even know why they
do what they do? A lot of people just bash it to be like everyone else, and
the people who use it probably don't understand why it's bad. That's why I'm
writing this article, to input my opinion of why I and many others find the
point system unreliable:
1. The comparison of cards in ANY form isn't too reliable anyway.
2. Too many people compare the wrong kinds of cards, i.e., Mr. Mime vs.
Charzard. While Mr. Mime has lower HP and a less-damage-dealing attack,
there's so much power from Invisible Wall that it's a staple in most Psychic
Stall decks.
3. People compare the wrong things, i.e.: how much damage an attack does.
4. Half the time, when the results are not to the author's liking they
contradict themselves (i.e., Slyte and Ditto Trainer) and chose a completely
different Pokemon as the victor.
There are many more reasons but I'm hungry so I think I'll go get a snack...
