Hey there,
I'm
here to talk about perhaps one of the more under-rated Trainer's out there:
The Pokeflute.
For those of you who don't know, what the Pokeflute does is let
you take one of your opponents basic pokemon from the discard pile and put it
on their bench. By itself, the common reaction by most people is: Why would
you want to do a stupid thing like that? With the right strategy, there are a
number of fun combos available.
With Gust of Wind:
The
most commonly thought of combo. The idea is to knock out your opponents oh, I
dunno.. say Blastoise for this example and you have Raichu out and powered up.
Next turn.. you bring the squirtle back and put it on the bench gust of wind
it up to the active pokemon and then smack it down with your raichu all over
again.. quick and easy prize.. be sure to pack some item finders and repeat
the fun..
With omanyte:
Never
thought of this one did you? You're looking at your opponents deck.. He's got
that kick ass Hitmochan that he's just been waiting to play... pokeflute that
base diglette that you wasted earlier back up and fill the bench so he doesn't
have any place to put the hitmo.. granted, this is a specialized case and I
wouldn't go basing an entire deck on that idea..
with dark Machoke:
This
is a variant of the Gust of wind idea.. bring that colorless or electric poke
back to life, just so that you can suck him into the active position with drag
out.. and snag a quick prize..
and finally... with Dark Hypno:
What
better way to fill up your opponents bench for Bench manipulation. Sure there
is challenge, but they always have the option of saying no and making you draw
two cards. Save up your flutes till late in the game.. building up the Dark
Hypno while you're at it. They think that they've been clever, keeping their
bench small. then bam - bam bam.. it's the wiggly deck in reverse.. Plus
you have several low powered pokemon ready to be slapped around your next
turn. Throw in some plus powers and you're doing gross amounts of damage.

Well.. that's all you've got from me. This is my
first writing.. so don't be too harsh. Comments and criticisms can be sent to
