While you were right about the Blastoise/Raindance to Charzard theory,
Venasaurs pokemon power DOES let any leaf energy be transfered to any
pokemon, just as long as the ENERGY is leaf, not the pokemon.  Also the
reason Charzard sucks is because while getting a 2nd stage is hard enough,
getting enough energy to do his attack is unlikely considering almost every
deck at a tourney you play will have tons of energy removing power.  Also if
they send out a weak pokemon with 30 damage left or a 40 hp basic you have to
shell out 2 energy just to finish them off.
