Some people think Porygon sucks and some people think Porygon is good. First
of all, let's look at the stats:
Porygon 30 HP
C: Conversion 1. If your opponent has a weakness, you may switch it to a type
other than colorless. (The effect ends when the Pokemon retreats.
CC: Conversion 2. Change Porygon's resistance to a type other than colorless.
Weakness:Fighting
Resistance:Psychic
Retreat:1
Let's check the HP first. 30 HP? That sucks. You're better off using Conversion
2 so it would seem like Porygon has more HP. So let's see.... 30+30=60 HP.
That's not bad when you use Conversion 2. The strategy is to use Conversion 2
first to be able to take more damage. Use Conversion 1 to switch it to a color
that use have in play. Hope your opponent can't kill you and Resistance makes it
harder to kill. Then after, retreat it and send out a Pokemon to KO it.
Strength:
-Ability to change weaknesses and resistance.
-Resistance to psychic when you don't use conversion 2.
Weakness:
-30 HP.
-A Pokemon that can't attack.
-1 retreat.
I personally think that putting Porygon in your deck is a choice you have to
make. Here is a killer combo:
Dodrio + Porygon. Able to retreat much easier without discarding an energy!
