Hey, Pojo, please post this in Card Strategy. Thanks!
A really good strategy in an evolution deck is to have plenty
of
haymaking Pokemon. (A haymaker is a powerful basic Pokemon.) It is a good
strategy because you can build a weakling Pokemon on your bench into a strong
one, while you hold off some foes with your haymaking Pokemon. Then, when it
is near death, retreat for the the evolved, powered-up benched Pokemon, and
kick butt.
It is not such a good idea to have an all basic deck. Basic
Pokemon may
seem really good, which they are, but in the long run, evolution is better.
However, too much evolution gives you too many weaklings to begin with. Thus,
you should have both in your deck.
A good haymaking Pokemon that fits into any deck is
Kangaskhan. He stays
in long. Just remember to have four Double Colorless Energy cards in your
deck.
Another good Pokemon to start with is Jigglypuff. (That is,
when you use
auto-sleep rules.) It is very easy to find. It works in any deck. It works
well with Double Colorless Energy.
Next time you make a deck, be sure to include both great
evolution cards
and great basic Pokemon.
