POJO-
SATOSHI here! I am about to spill my guts about beginners trying to play in
tournaments, so hold on, it's gonna be wild...!
ARGHHH! I'm sorry, but I cannot stand having to play some kid who doesn't
know how or what etc. to do with his cards!! My last tournament, I was
called up against a younger kid, and was told by everyone at the game to "go
easy on him." News Flash. SATOSHI does not go easy! Still, I couldn't help
but go a little soft....
First off, the kid had 3 types(or more?) in his deck and, in my opinion,
that is way too many. He opened with a Moltres to my Himonchan. Good for
him, right? WRONG.
Because he refused to play any fire energy on Moltres 'cause of wildfire, I
was able to slowly take out the fire bird with special punch! And when I
take a prize...he takes one too! I ask him why, and he says(get this)
"...well, you took one..." From then on, I mowed him down. Sorry if that
sounds mean, but I was not goning to partially throw the game!! My next
game, some kid knocks out my pokemon and goes for my prizes(?!). When asked
why, he admitted he didn't know. H ethought that's what you did.
I think players should not given any special treatment. They want to play,
fine. We just shouldn't give 'em any slack. But hey, that's just my opinion.
Also, stuck-up little traders are no fun, either.
I was at the mall for the big card video game tourney in the card area,
scoping for a Charizard.(I got one from this ultra-cool adult!:)) Upon
asking a kid, he told me he did have one, but he wouldn't trade 'cause "I've
got all the cards." Oookay, onward. While at a table still lookin' for tall,
orange and ugly, I was asking around and the same kid piped up; "I have one
but I won't trade 'cause I've got all the cards." This seemed a little
boastful, so I left.
These kids(I seriously doubt he had all the cards) take the fun out of
trading. If they have all the cards, they shouldn't be walking around
bragging to everyone. That's a good way to get them stolen!!! Yeesh, kids
today...
