I have found that by correctly using several neo
cards, fighting decks especially, but all decks can pump up a pretty good
arsenal.
Elekid-for one thing he requires no energy to
attack, but can do 20 damage even from your bench, which means he can pump up
any deck even from the bench. And if he is gusted out, he has the
standard baby rule making him hard to hit.
Guraiga-This dude is another scyther but made for
fighting. For one energy he can poison for 10, then do 20 the next turn
for 2 fighting. This equates to 40 damage for 2 in 2 turns, that's
better for scyther, and then every turn you do 30 for only 2 fighting energy,
whoa!! The comeback for fighting is looking good for mono fighting guys like
me!!!
Rantaan-this fish can do 20 damage for 2 L energy
but, has the pokemon power to do unlimited damage if you put enough water
energy on him. This means that he can have the most powerful attack in
the game.
Pii-this sucker is a hyper-oak man!! for one
measly energy he can let you shuffle your hand and get 7 fresh cards, the only
draw-back is that your turn is over.
Clefairy-the neo version is the ultimate energy
grabber, he let's you flip a coin for every pokemon in play, and get energy
for each heads!! All I can say is hello
ultra-ultra-compsearch-for-free-baby!!!
Ecolo Gym-this is great too, but a double edged
sword. This card allows all discarded energy to be returned to you and your
enemies hand for the rest of the game when it is discarded. You could
play with maybe 8 or 9 energy without a problem. This is the ultimate
solution to the fire energy burning problem. Those discards melt away.
The possibility with charizard is a Double Colorless Energy, fire spin it to
fire type, then fire blast and discard it back to your hand, for the same
thing next turn.
I am sure with these awe inspiring cards, people
will be having much tougher decks, and I hope to see some in the future!!
