OK, I just wanna say something. Two days ago I made a bench destruction deck
because I felt like making a new deck (It is deck#16). Well I knew that
Gengar was being said as great and I saw that a lot of the fossil pokemon
really kick-ass damaging the bench pokemon. Put em together and throw in all
the good trainers. Then I tried it out against my brother and it barely won
(This was a first, because his deck really sucks). It was missing something.
I tried out some mewtwos and some stallers like chansey but it just didnt
fit. So then I came to electabuzz. Electabuzz saved the deck. Get him as
starter and use thundershock until the oppenent is weak enough for a
thunderpunch. Meanwhile charge up the Zapdos and the Raichu on the bench, and
maybe a haunter. Once electabuzz goes down bring out haunter. I just have to
say that haunter is great. If you calculate his attack plus his power, only
1/4 of all attacks will hit him, including status effects. When it was all
done it was ready for the pokemon league. I went to the league and faced this
gym leader who had a haymaker with 4 electabuzzes, 4 scythers, and 4
hitmonchans, +machops and great trainers. She had already beaten 4-5 people
with no problem. Then I step up with my bench destruction deck. Hitmonchan
takes out electabuzz, but then out comes haunter. Hitmonchan can't even touch
it. I stall with haunter for a LONG time (about 20 turns). She gusted it a
couple of time and knocked out Raichus on the bench, but the Zapdos'
rema0ined untouched. But finally I was as good as I could get. Hitmonchans
gone with haunter and out comes Zapdos. Zapdos can do 140 damage in one turn.
Thats what it did. 5 flips for heads on the bench completely devistated it.
With a gengar on the bench, that damage was soon transfered. Again zapdos
does 100 damage now on his next turn, and only 20 to himself. 3 electabuzzes
go down in 3 turns. Zapdos goes down and we are now both down to 1 prize. She
brings out scyther, and an electabuzz with 6 damage is on the bench. Out
comes haunter. For the game, we flip for tranparency! And its heads! The
damage is prevented! And next turn Gengar transfers the last damage to
electabuzz!
This just goes to show you that even the REALLY good mainstream decks lose
sometimes to the up and coming deck types. Bench Destruction might oneday
become a mainstream deck but for now I hope it doesn't, people look for decks
to destroy the mainstream. Take my advice, build your own decks. I have an
exeggutor deck that is 26-0, and most people say that exeggutor sucks. It
beat an all-fire deck, while it is all plant, at least twice. Hey if you want
any of the deck lists email me at Ash5980@aol.com
