Hello again!  This is your favorite nutcase in for his third TCG Strategies
article of 2001!  Today I am going to talk about base Gastly...the card that
nobody uses...and his USES!!!  Yes, base Gastly has his purpose.

Nowadays, nobody likes that old game called Sudden Death.  You know, the one
with just one prize?  Well, base gastly can help you win sudden death, and
win it proud.

ON WITH THE COMBO!  Toss in an Erika's Jigglypuff, some PlusPowers, some
Double Colorless energy, a couple of Recycle Energies, for Gastly, of
course, psychic energy, and of course, Focus Band.

Two 50 HP Pokémon against a random metagame with the speed of a typhoon and
the power of two Machamps plus a Rhyhorn?  EASY!  First destiny bond.  Stall
a bit, and if your Gastly gets KOED, your opponent does, too!  Attach Focus
Band at will, to be a bit random.  This plan isn't foolproof, but it should
work most of the time.  Just try it.  Base Gastly should be appreciated,
also.  Next time, I MIGHT just be crazy enough to check out base Charizard.
