ATTENTION!!!
This is boot camp, here we are gonna make you understand the TCG better than
you have ever before!!! We are taking 5 diffrent courses, each on a
seperate
and important part of the TCG!!!
Persian-Do I have to???
Drill Sergant-Yes you do, you lazy feline hairball.
Drill Sergant-Well, I got to go have a "chat" with this cat, Lufta,
take over
for now.
Ok, folks, today's lesson is................GAME CONTROL!!! (If you have
so
far endured this chat thank you.)
Here are the 5 diffrent kinds of things you willl need to do to get a good
game control.
Speed
Slowness
Defense
Healing
Disruption
Now I will explain each one.
Speed-Speed is the most overly used of the 5 control powers. ( To make a
succesful deck, you need to use each one of the powers fully at anytime ) If
you gain to much speed, your opponet will too, so if you get this much speed
going, and you opponet gets a good pokemon out. You are gone. Simple as that,
speed is good, but not all it's cut up to be. You need to know when to
slow
down. However speed, is very important to be a good player. Once you get the
good pokemon going, you need to speed up. Once you see the slight bit of
problem, you need to slow down. Simple as that.
Slowness-Slowness is the most underestimated control power of the game. If
you opponet speeds up and you are going at a nice steady pace, ( NOT
extremely slow ) you will beat him, if you deck is made that you can
withstand an attack like this. You know this is really hard to explain
slowness. So i'll just tell you an example that I used a long time ago,
however it's still the best example. It was Mid-Game and my opponet had a
Water-Fire deck, I was about to get KO'd because of basics. My opponet had a
full bench of Pokemon, and a Charmader active. I had a Chancy with like 80 HP
left, he kept on using ember, I kept on using Crunch, finally I was going to
die, all I had was a couple cards. POTIONS!!!! I had a S. Potion, I used it,
later I used 2 potions to get me out of the same problem. Finally I had a
full Blastiose out, about 2 actually. Chansey retreated, and BOOM he was
dead, the guy sent out a Charizard, but guess what that kid, while he was
speeding to fast he spent ALL his fire energy. HA, I whipped his easy
pokemon, and I won in a total blow-out!! ( the best part of that match was
when his friend like 10 times came over and asked him when he was done, cause
he wanted to talk to him while the rest of the tourny went on, well he said 9
times It'll be over soon, and smilied. When he came back the 10th time I had
come back and kicked his but, I smilied and waited to see what he said to his
friend, cause he had been so cocky before.) Well how about the next topic.
Defense-Defense is sooo much like slowness, however a whole deck can be based
around Defense, unlike slowness, read the example on slowness to learn
about
defense.
Healing- Healing, is when you know the game is going down-hill for you. Your
deck's main pokemon has 20 HP left, your opponet has a good plan ready, if he
can only kill this pokemon. Well Healing is like defense, actually defense
slowness and healing make one big one.
Disruption-Disruption is Energy Removals and GOWs, it's all timing. I think
Persian is coming back so I better leave.
