Hey Pojosamaniacs! If you went to Pokemon 3 like over the last week or so,
your first thought about the Entei promo was most likely "Ooh! Shiny card!
Pretty!" Hey, that's what I said, too. Then, after a while you thought,
"Hey, wonder if there's a way I could actuall play this in a deck..." Well,
that's what I'm here to talk about. For those of you who have no idea what
I'm talking about, here's a spoiler (Courtesy of the card in my hand):

Entei
Fire Pokemon
Basic Pokemon, Lv. 37, 80 HP
Pokemon Power: Bolt
Whenever your opponent's attack damages Entei, unless that attack Knocks Out
Entei, flip a coin. If heads, shuffle Entei and all cards attached to it
into your deck. This power can't be used if Entei is already Asleep,
Confused, or Paralyzed when it is damaged.
RRR: Protective Flame - 50
During your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage of attacks, including
damage, done to your Benched Pokemon.
Weakness: Water, Resistance: none, Retreat Cost: 1

How the heck do you use this thing? Sure it's a Basic with 80 HP and a
3-for-50 attack that repels Bench Hitters, but that stupid Bolt Power is in
the way! What can I do to make this card playable? My solution: shut the PP
down. You can't play it on a Brock's Ninetails, so no solution there. You
can use a Goop Gas Attack, but that's only good for a maximum of four turns.
The best way to take care of it is to use Muk. Toxic Gas ignores Bolt,
leaving you to use Entei freely without worrying about Bolt. If Entei is
gonna die real soon, and you really want Bolt to come back, presto! Yet
another use for Devolution Beam/Hyper Devolution Beam. Use it on Muk for
Bolt to return just long enough to save Entei from taking a trip to the
discard pile. With a Muk on the bench, Entei can be combo'ed with lots of
nasty Fire types to bring on the damage: Magmar, Quilava, Moltres, be
creative! Now go out there and have fun!
